Recently visited this restaurant/bar not too long ago Denisha our server was amazing. She gave her best customer service. The food and drinks were delicious. Great atmosphere not a lot of people during the week !
A surprisingly cozy and authentic pub right in the middle of Grassmarket. It's amazing how untainted so many pubs are in the most touristy sections of Edinburgh. When I stopped in for a pint, there were some great musicians playing live traditional music in the front corner. Can't beat a pint of cask ale and some live music.
Came because of the Leeds Food Tour. Great beer and the burger and Katsu loaded fries were very good. Service and atmosphere good. Would definitely return. It's very close to the train station if you prefer a decent relaxed place rather than the dreadful alternative!
It was brilliant! I experienced great time in The Wharf! I’m from Japan and I’ve been studying English in Manchester but I’m going back to Japan. This Sunday roast is my last time. I definitely think all staff members have amazing hospitality as well! It was very comfortable! Thank you very much!
I think this bar worth the visit if you’re staying in Glasgow even for a short period of time! They are offering signature Whiskies, very genuine Scottish ones! I’m happy that I’ve got the chance to try it tonight! The staff are very friendly and caring and the atmosphere is really nice!
We had a fantastic Xmas do here. Really good value. In a great area. All of spinningfields area looked good. The oast house crew were friendly and helpful, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect.
Really enjoyed our visit. The place was packed, but the staff moved seamlessly the entire time we were there. We did not wait long for anything. Great Haggis Fritters. I had the Hake and my wife the Beef and Raclette Pie. Everything was very good. Sticky Toffee Pudding for desert. Good selection of beer and whiskey.
The food was so tasty. Appetizers were great. We were seated immediately. Our server was very efficient and checked on us often. It's like a country sports bar with plenty of seating and TV's. The best part was the affordability. All that food came to $80 for 2. Wouldn't necessarily recommend visiting with small children unless you don't mind that the servers are in short shorts and tiny tops. Your decision. Ample parking in the adjacent garage. Found ourselves in Birmingham for the night due to train cancellations. After getting a hotel, we settled in The Wellington for a good session. Amazing selection of beers at good prices too. Really like the beer menu on the TVs, clearly showing the ale colours and types. Next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to visit!
Glad I made a reservation. It wasn't full when I arrived but the restaurant part of the pub filled up pretty quick. I enjoyed the black pudding scotch egg and steak and ale pie. Service was quick too. Only complaint I had was I wished it was a bit brighter inside. Thankfully phone cameras are a minor miracle of science so I got some pictures of the food.

I am writing to express my complaint about an extremely unpleasant dining experience in your restaurant recently. My friends and I arrived at the restaurant at noon on March 19th, looking forward to enjoying delicious food and a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, we were troubled by a series of disappointing events. First of all, I would like to mention the attitude of the service staff. After we entered the restaurant, we tried to communicate with a waiter to order, but he seemed impatient and indifferent. Our request seems to have been completely ignored, and he is not even willing to face us, let alone order. This attitude makes us feel very disrespected and neglected. As customers, we hope to enjoy good service and delicious food in the restaurant, but our experience completely violates this expectation. Therefore, I hope that your restaurant can take our complaints seriously and take appropriate measures, including but not limited to retraining employees, to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again. We hope that your restaurant can apologize to us and promise to improve the quality of service so that all customers can enjoy equal and respectful treatment here.（There are also some more serious cases. The waitress has been chatting with white customers. I hope this is not racial discrimination, although for Asians, we feel obvious neglect and disrespect.）
Nice spot to watch literally any sporting event. I couldn't even count how many TVs there are in this place. They have an app or something so you can listen to whatever game you're watching on your device at your table too. Decent happy hour menu and a good selection of beers. Service was excellent by Darnez. We were checked on regularly, water refilled and drinks/food brought out quickly. Food is typical sports bar food. Nothing amazing. Prices are a little high for my personal taste but I expect that in this area. Overall, nice spot to grab a drink and food in the area and watch a game.
This is my favorite neighborhood sports bar. Surrounded by high end restaurants, hotels and residents and just steps away off Michigan Ave. There's is nothing fancy here, just good old bar food done right. Large crispy wings, nachos with choices of pull pork, brisket and chicken, I love the pickled jalapenos, green onions and tomatoes instead of pico, BBQ instead of salsa, love it. This is the only place which I have tried that knows how to make a cheese curd, pretty consistent shapes and sizes, lightly breaded and lightly fried. Great beer selection, not too many funky local brews. Service is normally fast and on point, the outdoor space is not bad during summer time. Strongly recommended for pub grub and to watch the games. Yes they take reservations!
Waiter- Mussa- 5Stars- Great Service Appetizers: Spinach and Artichoke Dip- 5Stars- Dip is flavorful, thick and delicious. Chips are thin, with a delightful crunch, finished with light salt. Mozzarella Sticks- 5Stars- Perfection Drinks: Prickly Pear Margarita- 2Stars- I very much didn’t like it but my husband liked it. However, my review means my rating takes rank! Strawberry Coconut Mojito- 3Stars- why are the drinks so sweet!? What in the world??? But it’s better than the Prickly Pear Margarita. Raspberry Lemonade- so sweet Coke- Can’t go wrong with coke Dinner- 5Stars- great, we are stuffed.
Love the vibe! There’s a small arcade upstairs on the second floor with several tv screens to watch your games. Only nitpick would be that if you’re going to watch a big game, there’s pool tables placed directly in front of view. $5 beer was good. Pickles are amazing. Here’s the deal (in my opinion). You don’t go to drag show brunch for food. You go to be entertained. And these queens are fabulous. The food was perfectly mediocre. Protein was generally over cooked (I had pork chop and meatballs), veg was over cooked and stringy (asparagus). Carbs were pretty good (pasta salad, mashers, Mac and cheese). Dessert was good (banana pudding). Service wasn’t bad. Had to ask for water 4 times and had to wait a bit for drinks. But all of that said, I am 100% coming back. The show was great!! I LOVED the music. And some of the shenanigans were hysterical. And the drinks were STRONG (just the way I like them)! I had the Octopussy (because how could you pass that up) and it was tasty!!!!😂. Nellie’s is also very easy to get to from the metro station.
Great service, good food, lots of beers, but they no longer honor happy hour prices on amy event day, which is kike every other day, so 4 star.
A nice pub with a lively atmosphere. There are quite a few seating options but it can get very busy during peak times. There is a good range of drinks to choose from including some Beatles themed beer.

Called in here as it's quite close to Queen Street. Cool place with friendly staff, it's a bit of a maze but adds to the charm. For food I went with a bacon cheeseburger and chips which cost £13. For the price I was a bit disappointed to be honest, you can get a properly good burger for that price in many places but this was distinctly average.

A first visit to this lovely pub. Such a beautiful interesting building . Excellent service from bar staff. The menu looked wonderful but we had already eaten somewhere else. We will definitely be back for food.

07/2023 Ordered fish and chips and the Irish chicken burger. Very good comfort food on a long evening, hot and filling. The tartar sauce is a good addition and even a great pairing with fries. Service was fast, ambiance was great and calm. Located right at a street intersection so it is hard to miss. 09/2023 Ordered a Shepherd's Pie and an Irish Beef Stew. The Shepherd's Pie was delicious with a creamy consistency from the upper mash potatoes and a savory layer of lamb and vegetables. I did not add the free bread but should have done so. The gravy was a nice topper that added some sweetness to the potatoes. The Irish Beef Stew was a very hearty meal. The stew was the right amount of thick and had plenty of beef chunks along with assorted bite-sized vegetables.

I am dangerously close to practically living at this place considering how much I am here! Vibes are immaculate! It's my favourite pub/bar to go to for a night out (especially on Thursday's). The live music and vibe is always so good and everyone is super friendly here. I think it is quite popular with the tourists but I love to come here anyway for a fun night out even as a Londoner!
