Capital Vacations's customer reviews analysis

The Capital Vacations Preview Center has elicited a spectrum of reviews, leaning significantly towards critical observations. A considerable number of customers have reported experiences that suggest aggressive and manipulative sales tactics. The promised presentation duration of 90-120 minutes is frequently exceeded, often lasting more than 3 hours, which leaves participants feeling misled and captive. High-pressure sales approaches, including a progression from friendly to hostile interactions contingent upon purchase resistance, are mentioned recurrently, indicating a pattern in the company’s customer engagement strategy. Concerns surrounding the veracity of deals offered and difficulty in obtaining promised services or refunds - such as unattainable ski vacation deals, unavailability of accommodations, and challenges in receiving deposit refunds - have called the company’s credibility into question. Nonetheless, there are instances of positive feedback, with compliments directed at the staff's friendliness and property aesthetics at specific locations.

Positive Feedback

Amidst the predominantly negative feedback, there are scattered instances of positive customer experiences with Capital Vacations Preview Center that merit acknowledgment. Some visitors have praised the staff’s cordiality and the quality of the vacation properties shown during presentations, such as Stormy Point Village. Customers have highlighted the appeal of the properties, describing them as 'nice,' 'spacious,' and 'cute,' and some have expressed gratitude for pleasant stays catalyzed by the company’s offerings. This indicates that when the company delivers on its promises, it has the potential to generate satisfactory customer experiences. Furthermore, the prospect of obtaining incentives, such as discounted show tickets and free nights' stays, though sometimes encumbered, does initially attract and please some customers.

Concerns and Threads

The Capital Vacations Preview Center faces critical issues as per customer feedback, with significant emphasis on misleading sales representations and aggressive tactics. Attendees frequently note the substantial discrepancy between advertised and actual presentation times, causing frustration and feelings of entrapment. The atmosphere during presentations is described as ranging from high-pressure to outright hostile, particularly when customers express hesitation or the desire to deliberate on purchase decisions. Customers have reported experiences where promised vacations and purportedly affordable deals fail to materialize, raising serious concerns about bait-and-switch tactics. Additionally, the lack of post-presentation support, poor communication, refusal to process refunds in a timely manner, and aggressive follow-up calls all contribute to a negative view of the company’s respect for customer rights and satisfaction.

DON’T DO IT! They say 90-120 minutes. You’ll be held captive AT LEAST 3 1/2 hours. DON’T DO IT! They say “no pressure sales techniques.” BULL! They are worse than car salesmen! DON’T DO IT! They are friendly until you tell them you need 24-hours to talk it over with your partner. Then the fangs come out! Total Jekyll and Hydes! RUDE AND DEGRADING! I BEG YOU, DON’T DO IT! You will regret it. Just pay for your tickets or gift and skip this high pressure sales pitch. DON’T DO IT! Read their reviews FIRST! No wonder they don’t want to give you any time to research them before signing on the dotted line. READ THEIR REVIEWS FIRST! PLEASE, PLEASE, LISTEN TO US. DON’T DO IT! READ THEIR REVIEWS FIRST, THEN IF YOU DECIDE TO DO THE PRESENTATION, YOU DESERVE WHATEVER YOU GET…

Yeah, we fell for it. Made them show us a deal we could get for a ski vacation in Colorado. Great deal. So we bought it. No such deal exists for our membership! Got the "Lifestyles" add on. Can't find any place to stay, already booked one year out. Cant got beyond that. Nothing they said has been true yet. Filled a complaint with the company, wont return calls. Saleslady will not return calls or texts. Filled a complaint with the Attorneys general office. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

They are like every other time share. There Sales tactics are all the same. 1. Start with friendly sales person. 2. Somewhat more aggressive sales person. 3. Finally the closer who gets mad promises the world to you and gives the statement what did I do to you why don't you want such a good deal? Remember folks if it is a truly great deal than your money will be just as good the next day or next week after you do research on the company. The company doesn't want you to do research on them because they have awful reviews and over promise on everything. Folks just play their mind game with them take the free gift from them and walk away. If you truly want to buy a time share hold out for the 3 or 4 hrs because you will save thousands of $$$$'s when the sales staff gives you the best rates. Hope this helps I have done a few time share briefs and every single one used the same mind games and tactics I have just outlined.
