Be very careful about this company. They seem like money hungry cowboys as for a few weeks their car would always be hanging around on road where we live with a salesman knocking on ever door mithering everyone to sign up with voneus until they eventually went. I live in the High Peak area where certain towns such as mine didn't have fast Internet as you could not have direct cable Internet, it was still through phone exchange. If you sign up with them they will put in a box and cable. There salesman will talk bollocks to you and I asked him what speed would I get with this £44.99 a month package cause most Internet providers lie about download speed. He said defiantly 500mbs almost all the time. I thought woah we normally get around 50mbs most days but that was through phone exchange. So we signed up for a laugh. Anyway been monitoring it for a few weeks and on a good day you will get about 130mbs which is faster for our area but will sometimes drop to about 50mbs lol. And we are on plan 2 which promises 500 mbs for £44.99, plan 1 offers 250 maps for £27.99 and we still not getting plan 1 speed! If they come knocking on your door or you apply on their website be careful as they are just after your money for poor service.

Voneus delay and lack of compensation Our Voneus broadband connection went down. I called them several times and eventually after 2 weeks they sent an engineer to fix the issue which was in the street and affecting another 5 of my neighbours I understand (it was news to me). The subcontractor they had hired couldn’t fix it. After another 2 weeks , they sent a Voneus employee who was great and fixed the issue on the pole quickly. I asked Voneus for compensation for the 28 days we were offline but Voneus are not signed up to the Ofcom compensation scheme so instead of £250 they offered me 6 weeks credit which after taking into account the fact that we had paid for the 4 weeks we didn’t have any broadband equates to around £11.50. Think carefully before you sign up to a company that does not have enough confidence in its product to sign up to the Ofcom automatic compensation scheme as you may be left waiting for long periods of time for them to fix a problem with virtually no recompense.

Absolutely shocking! This company have been neglecting my parents regarding getting the broadband sorted, taking so long to get a response from them and saying it can take up to a week to fix something on their end and then having to wait 3 weeks just to get the internet back resulting in constant over promising and under delivering. Once this had eventually been supposedly fixed they have had constant outages on a regular basis despite having a booster on our families land assisting them with providing to other households. After constantly calling them every time there is an outage they seem unbothered to do anything about it and saying it should be fixed within 36 hours! I’d understand if this was a one off thing but the fact my parents have been constantly getting in contact every week after constant outages over the last 6 months and no permanent solution has been found I fear trading standards will need to be the next foreseeable step as this quite frankly is an un-needed stress in their lives.
