Typically, I’m not one to publicly critique or speak negatively about a company, especially one we’ve worked closely with for years. However, I feel compelled to share my experience.
For almost two years, we’ve been using the Plentific platform, successfully working with major clients like Notting Hill Genesis, London & Quadrant, Peabody, Sovereign Network, and others. Throughout this time, we’ve delivered a consistently high standard of service.
Unfortunately, since June of last year, we’ve been plagued by ongoing issues, many of which can be traced back to the large housing associations we worked with via Plentific. Despite these challenges, we completed our projects, upheld our commitments, and worked diligently not only for the benefit of the housing providers but also for the residents themselves. We were never a source of problems.
In August, we informed Plentific about our plans to rebrand in January. They responded by stating we would need to reset our account and undergo a new vetting process as a "new" company. In the meantime, they requested we complete all remaining work and hold off on submitting invoices. At that point, we still had over 200 work orders to process, and Plentific was fully aware of this. They also knew we hadn’t been receiving payments for some invoices, several dating back to June.
We followed up with them twice more in the weeks leading up to the transition, ensuring they were updated. However, it became clear that the housing associations involved weren’t aware of the unfolding payment issues and assumed we were at fault—likely because Plentific misrepresented the situation to them, just as they were doing with us.
We later discovered that Plentific had, in fact, been paid by the housing associations but was withholding payments owed to our company.
As a result of these delays, I’ve been forced to cover the cost of materials, fuel, engineer wages, and subcontractors out of my personal finances. This has left me in a dire financial position—something I’ve never experienced before. I have even struggled to provide food for my family because of this.
I reached out to Plentific’s CEO directly to explain the situation, but my message was read and completely ignored and better yet blocked on LinkedIn.
Plentific’s broken promises, misinformation, and dishonesty have not only damaged my company but have also affected me personally. For anyone considering using Plentific as a repairs platform—whether as a contractor or a business—I would strongly advise against it. This corrupt company does not deliver the reliability or transparency you deserve.
Everyone working hard to do good in life deserves better than this.
