The service is shocking, their phone system doesn't actually work if you need it to do something more than just divert calls and there will be no help available should you need assistance.
I've used Virtual Landline since 2020 for call diversion, and then recently my business has been super busy and customers had been requesting a welcome message - Tried to set this up which was impossible to to with Virtual Landline. Not only was the process incredibly slow (surely, which should be something at least semi-automated in 2025?) it just didn't work at all! I called first time and spoke to a representative, who was truly truly useless, she gave no advice, no help and ended the call promptly. I called back immediately, and spoke to a gentleman who identified that the call system apparently wasn't set up properly, but he didn't fix anything, he was rude, he took no responsibility on behalf of his company for the fact that my customers couldn't reach me as a result of their incompetence. By the end of the call it appeared to work for a while, but a few hours later nothing worked, and calls weren't coming through at all so I said forget the whole welcome message thing, I'm moving to another service provider if this is not going to work - He didn't even try to help set it up to make sure that it worked properly. It has been so long since I'd experienced such poor service from any company.
So, I cancelled the welcome message setup and said let's just go back to normal call forwarding for now I also told them that I'm really disappointed with how they treat loyal customers - Suddenly the phone line which has been active for 5 years becomes disconnected, I couldn't understand how (but I know how, was bc the staff did it themselves, cause they don't like feedback and constructive criticism). I called again to find out what was happening, cause I couldn't receive calls for 2 days - Spoke to the same hollow man on the phone that I spoke to last time and he was equally as useless as he was the times prior.
I'm moving over to another provider ASAP, and I'm happy to pay double, triple, whatever I don't care at all - As a business owner, results are more important. Phone lines getting disconnected, and then when you speak to someone they're utterly useless, they don't care, its a no go. I have one more number with Virtual Landline that I will also move over, and I will encourage friends to cancel also.
Advice to Virtual Landline management: For the first time in my life, I would have preferred AI support over the two reps I spoke to at your company. Switch to AI, for better results until the staff can be trained on the product, and on customer service.
Edit: Yes by the 2nd/3rd phone call hours of trying to fix seemingly simple matters, I was no longer patient, I agree however there was no name calling, only fitting descriptions of the service received. And you’ve mistaken hostility for frustration, because the first person I spoke to failed to identify any errors or give proper instructions, the second person I spoke to gave instructions and identified issues but has no service skills whatsoever.
