If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired this company to install a simple gas hob, expecting a routine job. Instead, I endured an absolute nightmare. What should have taken one hour at most, dragged on for over 2 hours due to the engineer’s lack of preparation and clear incompetence. But the worst part? They had the audacity to charge me for the engineer’s own mistake. That’s right — instead of taking responsibility for the delay and error they caused, they passed the cost on to me, the customer. No accountability, no apology, just a shameless bill. The job took the engineer 2 hours and 18 minutes, which already ridiculous, but I was informed that the company rounds it up, so I was billed for 2.5 hours, ending up paying £360 to install a hob. The Engineer will not inform you how long the job took and how much you will be charged. Do not try and resolve anything with Dan MacDonald, the Aftersales Manager, as he will not help. The experience was unprofessional from start to finish: • Poor communication • Unnecessary delays • No transparency in pricing • Lack of professionalism • And a complete disregard for basic customer service Do yourself a favor: avoid this disgrace of a business unless you enjoy paying for other people’s failures, being treated like a fool, and wasting your entire day on sheer incompetence.

I feel compelled to share my experience with PlumbingForce to warn others. I booked them to remove two radiators and cap the valves. I was quoted 1–2 hours’ work at around £144. When their engineer, Chris, arrived, he called me within 10 minutes and claimed the job would take 10 hours and cost over £1,400 — nearly ten times the estimate. He then hung up on me and left the property. No work was carried out, and they still charged me the full fee. I later had a qualified plumber attend who did the job in 15 minutes with no system draining or balancing required — exactly as I’d originally requested and described during booking. The After Sales Manager, Dan MacDonald, at PlumbingForce refused a refund and doubled down, citing vague T&Cs and insisting their engineer acted correctly. From my experience, this felt like either gross incompetence or a deliberate upsell tactic. I’ll leave it to others to judge, but I will not be using them again — and I encourage anyone else to think twice before doing so.

I have a leaking kitchen tap which is what i told them when i booked. Firstly they cancelled my Saturday appointment so I had take unpaid leave for the monday. Waited in all morning even though I was told I would be treated as priority. Engineer arrived, looked at the tap and instantly said I needed a replacement tap. Told me it was a cheap tap and not worth trying to find ceramics to match it. I asked if he had one on van but no...he said he could isolate the hot water so tap didn't leak until tap got replaced...why would I want no hot water? He then said that was al he could do and left! I got charged £118 for NOTHING! completely ripped off. Oh to add insult to injury when I emailed to get refund due to no work being carried out I got informed it was me that didn't want water isolated! I can do that myself! They said they would deduct £118 from further works to be carried out but Tbh I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Arranged someone else as this company should be avoided at all costs!!! Perhaps it's because I'm a lone female and thought I was an easy target! NOT IMPRESSED!!! AVOID
