I first started using Odoo in 2019 while working for a commercial importer / dealer / retail operation with a service department. My official role was "marketing". Because of my geek background, I was heavily involved with the initial migration, and implementation in and outside of my department. Later, I was also tasked with training, project management of customization and subsequent migrations from Odoo 12 through 17. Odoo solved so many issues with it's native functionality and cross department integrations (Ecom, purchasing, sales, POS, inventory, accounting, marketing, etc.) Since then, I've started the certification process as well as becoming an implementation/dev partner. In short, I LOVE Odoo and think it is an ideal solution for a small one man shop to full enterprise solutions with thousands of seats. The question isn't what can Odoo do, it's what can't Odoo do?

Odoo is an excellent ERP software solution, but their implementation team and process leave much to be desired. I recommend business owners and decision-makers consider purchasing Odoo software if it meets their needs. However, for implementation, I strongly suggest using a third-party Odoo implementation company. These companies often provide better attention, more streamlined processes, and lower costs.

Its a nice place to work but it is far from any shopping center or affordable food place.
