Title: Easy to Buy, Difficult to Claim We took out Urban Jungle’s most comprehensive travel policy for a family member, trusting that it would offer proper protection if anything went wrong. While the purchase process was fast and well presented, things changed completely when it came time to make a claim. The handling of the claim felt evasive and disjointed. It was passed off to a third-party company, and we were met with vague responses and constant delays. Updates often referred to underwriters being consulted, but little actual progress was made. It became clear that although it’s very easy to take out a policy, getting them to honour it is a very different matter. Communication was poor, and at times confusing — with emails signed by names that didn’t always seem genuine. When we tried to follow up by phone, the person we asked for wasn’t even recognised by the agent we spoke to. I’ve seen many five-star reviews celebrating how simple Urban Jungle is to sign up with — and I agree, it’s easy. But that’s not what matters when you really need help. In our experience, the claims process was frustrating and impersonal, and we’ve since cancelled our cover. We wouldn’t recommend them based on how we were treated when it mattered most.

I’ve been insured with Urban Jungle, but unfortunately, their support has been consistently poor. I waited over 50 minutes on hold to speak with someone about a claim, only for the call to cut off with no callback option – meaning I had to start from scratch. When I finally got through again, the representative was rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. There’s zero continuity or ownership from their team, and they make what should be a straightforward claims process feel like a battle. The lack of empathy or basic service standards is really disappointing. Urban Jungle’s online model sounds great in theory, but if you ever need real help with a claim, prepare for delays and frustration. I expected much better from a company that brands itself as a modern insurance provider.

WORST COMPANY EVER AVOID!!! 14 months ago reported a leak with our roof. Work carried out I correctly now saying we aren’t covered despite being in a worst situation that previously in. Niall the claims handler does not even respond. Having to email and call daily. A shame I cannot leave photos here of the appalling state of our bedroom. Have taken legal advice and appointed a legal team now as still not getting anywhere.
