Their sales and customer service teams are fantastic, but the claims team is useless. I have had my engagement ring, a 30+ year old family heirloom, insured with Highworth for the past two years. I lost it a couple of weeks ago and called their claims line to report it right away. It's less than three months until my wedding, so you can imagine the stress and upset I'm going through at the moment. I was told I'd get a call back from the main claims team. I heard nothing for days. I called back, and the operator transferred me to a completely different insurance company who said that they'd never heard of Highworth before. I emailed Highworth myself, and on their website it states that they aim to reply within 24 hours. It's been over a week and I've heard nothing back. I called the claims line just now, the same operator then said he'd transfer me to the main claims team... and the call was disconnected! I called back AGAIN, and he told he'd email the claims team for me and they'd get back to me. I asked how long that was going to take and he didn't give me an answer. I then had to resort to calling the customer service line, and I spoke to Chloe, who was an absolute star and got to the bottom of the issue within minutes. Thank you, Chloe, I was about to have a meltdown until you saved the day!

Quite possibly the most bizarre and unusual company I've ever dealt with Customer service here is woeful, I took out a quote for an engagement ring when I purchased it in January, the ring was the locked in a floor safe until today. I called up to arrange the cover to start and because of the length of time they went through all the questions again.. fine. I was told I would get a call back but didnt happen so I had to chase them, when I did I was told that they're underwriter has declined to cover me as I haven't had it insured/gap in insurance. I had sent them a time stamped and dated photograph proving that I have the ring as well as personal documentation around valuation etc Callum who i dealt with was as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Was unable to articulate a reasonable response other than repeating ... our underwriter doesn't like gaps in cover .. like a parrot. I didnt want the payment showing up on my joint account callum ... do you not get that ??? Unreal experience. All should avoid for reasons above
