I purchased this insurance. We have to cancel our trip. I provided all of the documentation they require (and some of it is over the top). The claim said they would email me status. Did not hear from them for a week, so I called and was told I needed additional info, which I submitted. Now I am told it takes 30-60 days to resolve a claim. How can it take so long to resolve a claim, it is pretty simple and straight forward. nothing online should take that long. And the communications has been suspect. When I purchased, I got instant response, not so with claims process. I would not recommend this travel insurance due to the claims process.

I purchased travel insurance through them because my husband and I were traveling during hurricane season. We had planned a quick trip to Disney before our cruise, but the airport and parks closed (due to the hurricane). We filed a claim for our nonrefundable tickets (since we were able to adjust most everything). I submitted all necessary documents-then heard nothing. A month goes by and I get an email saying I need to show additional proof, which I submitted. Again-hear absolutely nothing, then another email requesting the same documents (which I sent again). This happened before Christmas. I finally got an email about 2 weeks ago that my husband’s claim is pending adjustment, but nothing about mine. I have called customer service and have been told that everything is under review and couldn’t be given any more updates. If you are shopping around for travel insurance, do not pick them!!

I submitted a claim for an airline cancelled trip, 6 months ago. The online submission form is extremely difficult to fill out and attach receipts. I keep getting emails that I haven't submitted the proper documentation, which I have, twice. Don't waste your time or money with this travel insurance, get your travel insurance from Allianz! They make it easy to submit a claim.
