Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment toward Lifetime Pet Cover is overwhelmingly negative based on recent customer reviews. Reviewers consistently note significant dissatisfaction with claim processing delays, unclear policy terms, and what is perceived as a lack of transparency, especially following a change in underwriter. Several customers describe distressing experiences when dealing with the claims process around sensitive issues such as pet loss, compounded by what they describe as rigid or unfair policies and unresponsive customer service. Only one review offers a notably positive account.

Common feedback includes frustration about slow claim payouts, difficult communication, and changes in third-party administration that have negatively impacted user experience. Many mention challenges contacting the company or receiving necessary forms, as well as issues with exclusions and policy changes not being clearly communicated. Claims of dismissive or rude staff behavior appear repeatedly, contributing to a perception of reduced support and reliability in recent periods.

Overall, Lifetime Pet Cover is currently regarded as a company facing serious trust and service challenges by its customer base. Historical satisfaction has suffered due to administrative changes and poor support. For pet insurance customers in the UK, these reviews suggest Lifetime Pet Cover’s reputation has declined, and consumers are advised to review current policies closely before engaging.

I feel completely let down by Lifetime Pet Cover. My pet sadly passed away, and while they covered euthanasia, they refused to cover cremation, which I believe is an essential part of end-of-life care. To add to that, they’re now telling me I must continue paying the full policy even though my pet is no longer alive and I can no longer benefit from the cover — just because I made a claim. At no point was this made clear when I bought the policy. These terms feel unfair and insensitive, especially at such an emotional time. It’s extremely distressing to be grieving your pet and also dealing with unexpected costs and rigid policies. I’ve raised a complaint but have not had a satisfactory resolution. If Lifetime Pet Cover is willing to resolve this fairly, I’d be happy to update this review.

I've had continuous cover for my pet and encountered significant issues when trying to claim for a condition that should have been eligible. The policy changed hands to a new underwriter without any clear explanation of how ongoing treatment would be handled. Despite raising concerns in advance and following all the correct procedures, my claim was ultimately declined — with no support from Lifetime Pet Cover. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive throughout, and I was left to chase multiple parties just to get clarity. I expected far better from a company that markets itself as providing lifetime protection for pets. Would not recommend based on my experience. Will be raising with the FCA.

If I could leave no start review i would!!! They took months to review my claim and said they needed further medical history for my dog when I chased them even though my vets had confirmed they had sent his FULL medical history over to them. They then refused to pay my claim as a previous vet had said my dog MAY have symptoms of dermatitis. This was never taken any further for investigation and he was never diagnosed with any type of dermatitis. A couple of years later he had scratched his face which caused an infection and my new vet had said it was a dermal issue. I sent the claim to the insurance and after weeks the refused! I challenged them as did my Vet as this was NOT a previous condition and should be in line with the insurance. However, they said that as a vet had previously noted a possibility regardless that it was never investigated neither diagnosed that they class this as a previous condition. I would be very careful with this company as not only will they look for any little thing to get out of a claim, there customer service representatives are extremely rude! I would avoid at all costs!!!!
