Spent weeks in discussion with Lifesearch, after being denied a policy by Beagle Street due to some specific conditions regarding hobbies. After having run through MULTIPLE application forms, totalling hours and hours of my time, the best price they could manage was £55 a month. I then proceeded to do my own research and found a company that offered me cover for less than half of the above figure, without having to change anything about the personal information supplied. Now obviously the £55p/m figure will include a percentage commission paid to Lifesearch, so it strikes me they're more concerned about lining their own pockets than saving you money. AVOID.

Company arranged my life insurance years ago. Rang me out of the blue off a random mobile number, and demanded to take me through security checks, asking for my date of birth, address etc. when I pointed out there was no way I'd be telling a random man on a random number those details, he really couldn't understand why not and got cross with me! What an idiot. I later rang the company on a central number and they confirmed he was one of their agents. Lifesearch - you can't ring clients and demand they give you personal info like that out of the blue.

I naively added my number to a compare the market quote and they got in touch via email, text and phone very quickly. I did not appreciate the bombardment of communications. I raised with compare the market and lifesearch and unsubscribed. However. 6 months later I did another search for quotes and this time I was very careful not to add my number, however this didn't stop lifesearch. They clearly had my number on file and resinstigated their process. I had a text, an email and 2 calls within 24 hours of my quote. I did not opt into being called or text this time round. I appreciate they may believe they have a well oiled machine following up on indicitive quotes promptly, but its far too aggressive in my opinion. Not something I want from a life insurer.
