Had an issue with my fridge, was charged £100 for them to come out for literally 5 minutes, they then charged me £150 in parts that still didn't resolve the issue and the fridge is still not fixed after a further 3 visits from them. No mention of a refund for the parts iv paid for. The low level of competence and customer service is alarming. It's been weeks and the issue is still ongoing.

Avoid at all costs. Used them for a one off fix, freezer was making a loud noise. Engineer came, all was well. I chose a one off payment rather than annual subscription so paid a hefty £125 for a 10 minute appointment when the engineer said to simply defrost the freezer. I did, the freezer was fixed. But 12 months later, my bank card was blocked by my bank for suspicious payments. Go Assist had twice tried to take £65 for the annual subscription fee. Thank goodness for my bank. I did not approve that fee. Rang them, they said I'd signed up to their subscription and they could take the money, that this was in their website Ts&Cs and it was explained to me. I said it was explained but I'd explicitly told them I wasn't interested or signing up. I checked their Ts&Cs and it does say that we all effectively get signed up to a subscription whether we like it or not. Yet according to those Ts&Cs, they should inform me in advance of the upcoming payment by letter or email. They did neither, therefore defaulted on their own terms. Customer services said they'd investigate and come back to me, I never heard from them. Bunch of cowboys and if your bank isn't as good as mine was, you'll lose money by them taking it without your consent.

Avoid. They take the money then don’t turn up. Visit arranged for next day then a text to say it would be 5 days later. I cancelled then had the aggro of stopping the payment. Terrible firm
