Overall, my experience with Britannia Windows was fairly positive, but with a few frustrations. Communication was good throughout the process. The salesman who came to give me a quotation was very helpful, made good suggestions, and even price-matched a cheaper competitor for me, which I appreciated. The installation team turned up on time and completed the work on schedule. I had 8 windows and both my front and back doors replaced. Seven of the windows were fitted well, but one window was a different story – the fitter had moved the internal sill forward, leaving a large gap. Instead of addressing it properly, they initially tried to cover it with about an inch of caulking, which was disappointing to see. I pointed it out, and they did come back on the final day to fix it, but the caulking is now messy and I’ll need to redo it myself. Not a huge issue, but it felt a bit insulting that they attempted to hide the mistake instead of sorting it correctly the first time. The front and back doors were both stiff straight after installation. To their credit, Britannia responded quickly when I reported this. The front door was fixed without any issues, but the back door was left unresolved. The fitter said it was “normal,” but I later discovered the top strike plate had actually been installed backwards – which explained the stiffness. So, while I am somewhat happy with the overall job, there were corners cut and small issues that let the experience down. If you go with Britannia, just keep an eye on the details during installation.

Not a big job but two of the two windows I ordered are both over an inch short for the frame I’ve asked for a refund for the faulty goods and now Libby is refusing, so I’m going to have to take this further as this shocking company has sold me faulty goods and now refusing to refund me appalling DONT EVER USE
