I was recently comparing rates for our Home and Auto policies among several different carriers. One of the insurance agents I spoke with was Tyler from Brian Stevens - State Farm Insurance Agency located at 21043 N Cave Creek Road Suite A12 in Phoenix, Arizona. Having spoken with many agents, I quickly realized that Tyler is a subject matter expert in his field. Many of the other agents came across as desperate to get my business. The rates Tyler quoted me were not the highest and not the lowest, but the coverage he provided was the best. On the other hand, some of the quotes from other companies contained misleading information regarding the coverage amounts, deductibles and the overall cost of the premiums. Tyler thoroughly explained the details of the coverage he could offer and was not pushy when I told him that his rates were not the lowest. He did offer to lower some of the coverage amounts and check rates with different deductibles, but I told him not to bother because he did so well with his initial quote. One thing customers should consider when comparing insurance rates is that the cost of the policy does not mean much if the company is difficult to deal with. When I told Tyler that I was choosing to do business with him, he mentioned that we could complete the transaction over the phone, but I chose to stop by his office and meet him face-to-face. After I returned home, I called the insurance carrier that I am leaving, and had to spend several frustrating minutes navigating my way through the AI phone menus before I was able to reach a human being to cancel our policies. Tyler has a phone on his desk and I can call him directly. I highly recommend Tyler from State Farm.
