This is some text inside of a div block.
Been with them for years and never used them until last week when I needed towing to garage. Although it took a long time to arrive they have compensated me accordingly and restored my faith.

The worst breakdown service I've ever used.2hrs to recover from the M25!!!! Absolute joke. They do not give the same standard service at similar prices to the AA and RAC. AVOID!!!!!!!

Reviews Summary

Customer feedback for AXA breakdown service is mostly negative, with recurring concerns about long wait times, inconsistent communication, and administrative issues. While some reviewers mention prompt arrivals or friendly, empathetic staff, these positives are outweighed by multiple reports of delays, misleading time estimates, poor notification practices, and abrupt policy enforcement. Compensations are occasionally mentioned, but overall confidence is diminished.

The most frequent themes in the reviews are significant wait times for vehicle recovery, problems with call center responsiveness, and disputes over policy details or eligibility for service. Several customers highlight frustration with being stranded, not receiving promised call-backs, and feeling misinformed about coverage. Reliability and transparency issues emerge most strongly, occasionally affecting customers in locations such as London, Bristol, and the M25.

Based on customer input, AXA breakdown service is generally regarded as unreliable by users in the UK, especially in emergency or time-critical situations. Despite some isolated positive experiences, the dominant pattern is dissatisfaction related to process delays and poor service consistency. AXA faces notable criticism regarding breakdown support and customer communications across the UK.

About AXA Breakdown Cover

Insurance Services
AXA provides breakdown recovery services as part of the insurance industry's roadside assistance offerings. The company covers vehicle recovery and related emergency support predominantly for policyholders who require assistance after a vehicle incident, delivering these services in-person through contracted recovery operators.

AXA operates by dispatching recovery vehicles after receiving a customer request via phone or digital contact. The process includes locating the customer, assessing the issue, providing recovery or roadside fixes, and, if needed, organizing onward transport. Policy coverage and eligibility are checked prior to dispatch. Coordination with third-party suppliers is part of the workflow.
