I’ve been using ALA insurance insurance for GAP insurance for many years. They offer excellent customer service and calls are answered by friendly knowledgeable folk. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I had a lovely chat with them this week discussing Castle Howard, Betty’s as well as my insurance. Today I received this in the post. I mean how lovely! This is a company that values its customers and as they say so themselves “It's very important to ensure we're offering our customers the highest levels of customer service and the best products.” all I can say is thank you so much for the birthday cake. It’s delicious but then it’s a quality cake sent to me by a top quality insurance company :)

In my opinion this warranty is for the most part, a complete waste of Money. I purchased the warranty in good faith. During a routine MOT, the advisory warned of play in my steering rack. I booked the car into a specialist mechanic to investigate the issue who determined that the steering rack needed replacing. I thought i was covered under my warranty because the steering rack is listed as a part that is covered in my warranty under mechanical Breakdown. However due to the their definition of "Mechanical Breakdown" "mechanical breakdown means the sudden and unforeseen failure of a component arising from any permanent mechanical or electrical defect (for a reason other than wear and tear, normal deterioration or negligence) causing a sudden stoppage of its function, necessitating the immediate repair or replacement of the component before normal operation can be resumed. We are not liable for parts that have reached the end of their normal working lives because of age or usage", they have said they are not liable to cover this fault under the warranty. Absolutely pointless listing the steering rack as part that is covered because the steering rack would not suddenly fail.

I have been using ALA for a number of years and the customer service is by far the best I have ever had. I have dealt with numerous staff members and they are all great. I have had the pleasure of speaking to Dawn this morning, nothing was too much trouble and the enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism shown was excellent. Keep up the great work, it's not often you get a great service with a smile, but this company and their staff seem to provide it every time. Don't take my word for it, give them call and you won't be disappointed. Thanks again and have a great day....
