I am a customer for life!! Just received back my sofa from Riviera and the work is exceptional! I purchased a custom sofa 21 years ago and it had an amazing life but was finally in need of some refurbishment. I initially dealt with Robert who coordinated the process then worked with Carlos on fabric selection and pickup/delivery. The entire transaction was flawless. Robert and Carlos were extremely knowledgeable and great to work with. I’m definitely having them refresh my love seat/ottoman set. You will not be disappointed with Riviera!

We were recently given some furniture from friends who are moving away (a chair, couch and dining room set) but the wood on the dining room set needed refinishing, as did the wood trim on the couch. The fabrics also didn’t match our décor like we wanted. We saw a TV commercial for Rivieria and from the first call with Robert we had a great experience. He asked questions, explained their process and gave a price over the phone, and told us how long it would take. Then we met with Carlos who works with designers – he came to our house with fabric samples and had great ideas for helping us choose fabrics for all 3 pieces. The price he gave us was the same as what Robert quoted on the phone. The finished couch, chair and dining room set were even better than we could have imagined, we were really impressed with the wood refinishing job they did on the dining table & chairs and the wood trim on the couch – they looked brand new! We spoke to some other companies but are very glad we went with Riviera Upholstery. From beginning to end, they were great.

My husband and I have furniture from the '40s and '50's which was built well and solidly as older furniture tends to be. Years had taken its toll on the cushions and fabric. We wanted to keep this furniture so had 6 chairs and ottomans refurbished by a company in San Diego15 years ago and the results were horrible. The filling collapsed and the material tore within the first months. We were reluctant to go through the reupholstery process again but kept hearing good reviews about Riviera Upholstery. We decided to give them a try and it was great from the start. We called and asked for a quote. The next day Michael Harvey drove from Los Angeles to San Diego to look at our furniture, give us a quote and let us see material samples. Michael Harvey is professional and really knows what he is talking about when it comes to furniture which is worth reupholstering and furniture that is not. He knew exactly how the previous company had let us down by using inferior materials. He explained that Riviera only reupholstered furniture which was built well and would last. He described the process of reupholstering and the materials used. We ended up signing up that day and selecting our fabrics. The virus outbreak caused the factory to shut down at one point; that was completely understandable. We received our furniture today which had left our house in very decrepit condition and received amazingly beautiful furniture in return. The workmanship is amazing. The chairs and ottomans we sent out came back looking better that we expected. They are finally comfortable and look amazing. We had two chairs recovered in leather and they look fantastic. Michael Harvey was a huge assistance throughout the process. He would return calls and texts when we asked what was going on. He was incredibly helpful all through the process. Carlos Robles called us to describe the cushion firmness levels that they used to save us a trip to Los Angeles and because of covid. Carlos inspected each piece of furniture and assured us that we would be pleased. He was absolutely correct; we are truly blown away by the attention to detail and the stunning results of a very talented staff. We highly recommend Riviera Upholster, Michael Harvey (amazing design and fabric consultant) and Carlos Robles. Thank you. Attaching before and after of one leather chair.
