The amazing staff at the PDSA saved our dogs life. We rushed him in out of hours on a Saturday night and were able to pick him up on Sunday night after he had made a good recovery. We absolutely expected the worst, to be honest. Zoe took great care of us and our dog and explained everything very clearly, including the cost. We received 3 phone calls with updates throughout Sunday, prior to collecting our boy. They took such good care of him and one week later, he is happy and healthy and still with us! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts....from us and Murphy!

Thank you to everyone for saving Tara's life at such sort notice, all of the family are very appreciative of everything that the staff did and are continuing to do. We understand it would have cost over a thousand pounds in a normal or private vets, we have made a donation and continue to do so monthly. Thank you nottingham PDSA highly recommend

Awful awful vets. The only good thing is the price which is only available to people on Benefits, understandable. However due to this they literally do the bare minimum. The vets told me wrong information about a skin condition my dogs has. The vet told me that his hair wouldn’t grow back because of mange mites which I have now been told by a different vet that this isn’t true and it’s a different issue. Pumped him with steroids when i kept telling them it wasn’t working and completely wiped his personality when he was on them, they new this and still prescribed the same medication 3 times even though it wasn’t working? Called them when my dog had a swollen face and wouldn’t eat they told me someone will get back to me with an appointment that day, later in the week or some advice. As soon as I got off the phone radio silence from the vet. After 4 emails, No appointment. No check up. Nothing. Other vets may be more pricey but I would stay clear if you can! Still trying to get hold of them for my records and what a surprise no answer!

Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment towards PDSA's veterinary services in Nottingham is mixed, with many reviewers expressing gratitude for life-saving care and compassion during emergencies, while several others highlight frustrations over administrative issues and communication gaps. Positive feedback frequently mentions the professionalism and thorough explanations from staff like Zoe, particularly in critical or emotional situations. However, there are also notable concerns raised regarding eligibility, perceived quality of treatment, and inconsistent handling of payment or area coverage, which led to disappointment for some clients.

Common themes identified across reviews include appreciation for the clinic's ability to handle complicated or difficult pet health cases, the compassionate approach taken when euthanasia is required, and the provision of thoughtful touches such as keepsakes and follow-up communication. On the other hand, negative experiences primarily center on problems with registration fees, access to discounted care, unresponsive communication, and instances of staff behavior that some felt were unsupportive or inappropriate.

Overall, PDSA Nottingham is regarded as a critical provider for those in need of accessible veterinary care, often praised for compassionate and effective support during emergencies. Recurrent praise for the care given in urgent situations reinforces the clinic’s importance locally, though experiences of dissatisfaction suggest room for quality control and clearer administrative procedures.
