I used the Zest website to book a hire car for holiday on The Algarve in May 2025, the prices were competitive and the inclusive zero excess was a great selling point. The collection at Faro was exactly as planned with no hard selling of any extras and the minor scratches on the car were all correctly recorded on the hire agreement. The return process was equally simple so very happy overall.

Recommend Zest for holiday rental. Easy to book online. We used them to book two cars for a holiday in the Algarve. Good price from their supplier, MasterKings, with delivery and collection from the villa, all at the agreed time. Information supplied by Zest from the time of booking, payment, etc., was also very good.

The service provided by Zest Car Rental was simple and easy, we would use the service again. There were lots of clear communications and even a pick-up checklist sent to us prior to our rental, which provided very helpful information and FAQs. Although this is not Zest's fault at all and is only a head's up, we were slightly disappointed that MadeiraRent staff were very pushy towards paying their own extremely costly additional in-house insurance, even though we had already paid insurance through Zest. We declined the additional insurance but felt they were very pushy with this and for other additional services we didn't really need. The car was in relatively good condition, although quite a big dent and also very scratched under the front of the car. Luckily we caught this and took photo evidence, which we were asked about on drop-off. Thank you, Zest, for reminding us on your communications to take clear photos.
