Steven, Zack, & Sam moved our home today. I initially called & did a video walk through with an agent to get an estimate & was told it would take 5 hours. As soon as they arrived & saw our home they said it would take at least 7 hours & the cost immediately rose a thousand dollars. They did a decent job disassembling & reassembling furniture in our master bedroom, one bedroom, & living room. After everything was loaded up from our old house & taken to our new house we returned to our old house to clean. We were disappointed to find a queen bed, bikes, and a lot of stuff left in our old house that was not even placed on their truck requiring us to quickly rent a U-Haul truck to transport the rest of our items ourselves. In addition, after bringing our treadmill to our new house they informed me they “aren’t allowed to disassemble it but we could try but you’re down to 20 minutes left & we’d have to adjust your time”. I said no thank you as we’re already well over what we were expecting to pay. I’m not sure what went wrong today whether management or employees but it definitely didn’t seem realistic for 3 guys to move our 4 bedroom 2100 square foot house in 7 hours, let alone the 5 hours we were initially quoted. Even worse we hired You Move Me to pack for us yesterday & paper moving sheets were left on our stove & the back burner was on. Thank goodness my husband came home right after they were leaving to find a burning smell & a fire in our kitchen with the paper sheets. No damage occurred to our home thankfully but very scary experience. Would not recommend You Move Me in the Kansas City area.

This moving company gets 5 stars from this customer. I called a couple of moving companies and You Move Me were the first to call me back. And they were even taking calls and booking on a holiday. They were able to exceedingly meet my needs on short notice and at the end of a month when most people are moving due to lease expirations. They exceeded my expectations by sending a crew that finished up early and sent them to our job to do early. The customer service was phenomenal. The crew were very considerate of my furniture items and did an excellent job. No one likes moving, but these guys kind of made it fun by being personable. Great crew! Really appreciate their work and help with everything. The crew was very conscientious about the handling of my belongings. Great company! Will most definitely use them again.

Cole, Parker, Jordan, Brenden, Ryan and Ben— I can’t say enough good things about the team that helped with the move! From start to finish, they were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient—even with the intense heat that day. They worked nonstop with great care and positive attitudes, handling everything with ease and making what could have been a stressful day feel smooth and manageable. Can’t recommend them enough!
