If I could give zero stars I would. The first woman I spoke to was absolutely lovely and gave me such high hopes for this company, through no fault of hers none of this came through. I was told I’d receive cash within 48 hours depending on when I wanted to move but then had to wait for a viewber to take photos and create a floor plan (2 weeks). They then done assessments on area and consultations with estate agents on similar homes (another 2 weeks) we finally got our final offer a month later which was about 40% under the original offer. I declined and was immediately told okay we’ll do 70. I then spoke to the company over the next week and received information little by little that that meant they would sell the home and I would receive funds after selling and I was intact with their sister company sold.co.uk which was never clearly explained or asked. Even though they were selling the same way as an estate agent they still took their chunk of £5000 and I had to cover the “majority of fees”. I was told I’d be updated each Friday - they called once. It was impossible to get hold of them, constant voice mail and delayed return calls. At this point I was at risk of losing my new home as they had taken so long to actually be clear on their process my solicitor checks etc for my new home were back! What should’ve been the smoothest transaction was an absolute nightmare. Called to complain and was told “yeah we usually will drop a large bit” “you’ll never get the initial figure” “you can try elsewhere but this is what others will say too”. They even listed my property as requiring a full renovation however Michael Poole stated it as “great first home”. They didn’t even put up a for sale sign. When I finally decided enough was enough and asked them to remove the listing I got a simple “I’ve removed it, good luck”. Literally no attempt to encourage custom or any form of apology / closing of business. Do not believe the dreams they will sell you. Go to an estate agent. This is not a faster process. It is a chocolate covered robbery.

Avoid this company!!! The previous negative reviews are correct — but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to try them anyway. Unfortunately, my experience was not very good at all. They contacted me with an attractive initial offer, which is what convinced me to proceed. I chose this company specifically because their website claims they can complete within 7 days — this turned out to be completely false. I accepted their offer on 4th April. Then, on 23rd April — 19 days later — they came back to me with a significantly reduced offer, dropping it by £30,000. This is exactly what many of the earlier reviews had warned about. Don’t be fooled by the initial offer. It seems to be a tactic to draw people in, only to slash the price weeks later. I should have listened to the reviews — so take my advice and do not use this company

Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Manipulative – A Company to Avoid ⭐☆☆☆☆ Our experience with We Buy Any Home was appalling from start to finish. They initially made us a verbal offer which we accepted — but despite repeated requests, they flat-out refused to put anything in writing. That alone should have set off alarm bells, and in hindsight, we deeply regret continuing. My wife was dealing with someone named Greg, who was rude, dismissive, and clearly uncomfortable dealing with a woman. His behaviour was nothing short of misogynistic and condescending — completely unacceptable in any professional context. Then, just two weeks before completion, they slashed the offer by another £50,000, on top of their original offer which was already £50,000 under market value. That’s £100,000 less than the property was worth, presented at the last minute in an attempt to pressure us into accepting. Let’s be clear: this company uses manipulative, predatory tactics. They string you along, refuse to put anything in writing, then change the terms when they think you’re too far along to back out. They are not trustworthy. They are not professional. And in our experience, their behaviour was sexist, misleading, and unethical. Do not trust them with your property or your time. We strongly advise others to avoid We Buy Any Home at all costs
