Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment towards UR.co.uk as a phone trade-in company is distinctly negative, highlighted by recurring frustrations with their quoting process and customer service. Reviewers consistently note discrepancies between initial quotes and final offers, often citing unexplained claims of device damage or wear. Complaints also focus on slow communication, delayed payments, and a reluctance to return rejected devices, which further impacts trust. There are virtually no positive experiences described; most customers advise caution or outright avoidance.

Common feedback includes dissatisfaction with the price negotiation tactics, with some reviewers receiving multiple low counteroffers following their initial rejection. Terms around battery health and device grading appear opaque, with several users alleging that stated criteria are not honored. The process is frequently described as unnecessarily lengthy—some users waited weeks for resolution or payment—and communication, both by phone and online chat, is described as inadequate or unresponsive.

Overall, UR.co.uk has developed a poor reputation among its reviewers for inconsistency, lack of transparency, and slow operations in the UK phone trade-in market. There are no indicators of issue resolution or repeat business, and the negative patterns are apparent throughout all shared experiences. This feedback suggests prospective customers should be highly cautious when considering UR.co.uk for selling mobile devices.

This company have had my phone for 2 weeks, declined first offer as they stated my phone had deep scratches. Took pictures of my phone before sending, no deep scratches, always used screen protectors, then proceeded to offer me £20 more, declined, ridiculous offer, advised phone will be returned, courier collects phones once a week, that was a few days ago, still nothing to say it’s been returned. Worse experience ever with a phone trade in company. Phone perfect when sent in.

I sent in my iPhone 12 after receiving an initial quote of £184 for a device in good condition. After sending the phone in, the offer was suddenly dropped to £50 due to “damage” — which was never clearly explained or evidenced (phone looked brand new), I declined this, and after a few days, a new offer came through for £70, which I also declined. Eventually, I received a final revised offer of £105. What’s frustrating is that even this final offer is well below what their own website lists — £171 for a phone in good condition and £110 for one in poor condition. Their own email clearly classed my phone as “good”, yet the price offered doesn’t reflect that at all. To add to the poor experience, communication has been minimal, and I’ve had to chase for updates and request the return of my device. The phone was sent in good condition, and I expect it returned in the same state. Overall, the process felt inconsistent and untrustworthy — I would be very cautious before sending your phone here. Check the small print, take plenty of photos beforehand, and be prepared for a drawn-out experience if you decline their low counteroffers. Lesson learned - should have checked the reviews!!

Awful customer service - avoid Said the phone was worth £325 but after their inspection changed offer to £195 which we accepted as the phone was already there . But my son had read the company details and apparently if the phone was 86 % battery life or more then it would pass their test as good standard . It was 86 % as we checked when we sent it . They tried to say it was a reduced quote as it had been overcharged 🙈 Anyway that was 7 days ago and they apparently processed the payment to arrive in 2-4 working days - Monday at the latest it should have been in the bank . Nothing transferred by today -Tuesday so my son called them today and was told it would be in by 5 pm today . As 4 pm arrived and no sign of a transfer of the money he rang again and was told by the same call handler - sorry we are behind on processing - definitely by Thursday . After he then sent a very irate email telling them that they would have until 9 am Thursday and if no payment made then he was calling at the premises to take the phone elsewhere. Then suddenly 4.50 pm the payment lands in the bank . Never had so much stress selling a phone so avoid this company as they don’t abide by their timelines and they don’t pay unless you really push for it but they happy to take the phone in the meantime 😡worse company I have ever dealt with regarding second hand phone Sale
