Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment toward Pure Talk as a telecommunications service provider is mixed, with reviewers noting both significant savings and customer service improvements, as well as frustrations regarding technical issues and support. Many positively comment on the cost benefits and streamlined switching process. Negative feedback, however, includes complaints about slow data speeds, voicemail delays, difficulty resolving account issues, and dissatisfaction with how overages are handled.

Common themes across reviews are cost savings, perceived support for veterans, and the ease of switching from other carriers. Customers frequently highlight reduced bills and occasional free phones as key benefits, while several customers express dissatisfaction about service reliability, billing accuracy, and lack of responsive supervisory support. Pure Talk’s positioning as veteran-owned and focus on American customer service are noted repeatedly, though some reports of poor communication and delayed resolutions persist.

In summary, Pure Talk is regarded by many as a value-driven cellular provider, especially for those seeking lower costs and veteran-focused initiatives within the United States. However, technical limitations and inconsistent customer service diminish trust for some, making the company’s reputation solid but not universally strong among recent customers.

I have had PureTalk for about 3 months now. I can say that it has been everything they declared. I pay about $20 less per month than my previous carrier and PureTalks customer service is far superior. You can actually understand them. Switching carriers was a breeze. Now, the only issue I have found is the voicemail. It is late in notifications, sometimes days late. Not sure if that is their issue or maybe my phone.

I changed to Pure Talk in March, 2025. I changed carriers for 2 reasons: American Veterans and American customer service. However, I'm disappointed with the rest of the service. As a disabled senior citizen, I use my phone for everything. I have no wifi, no computer and no cable for television. My cell is my news, weather, entertainment, learning new things, as well talk, text and email. I have nothing else, so I always go over the "limit". With my former carrier, when I went over the limit it slowed down a very little bit. There was no real difference at all. With Pure Talk it slows to be unusable for how many days that it takes to start over. Even when I call to buy more time, that goes away in a couple of days. I need my phone for all my needs, but Pure Talk doesn't meet those. If it were possible, I would go back to my former carrier. I wish I had better things to tell, but this doesn't work for me. I'm sure there are others like me out there. Thank you for listening.

I am a new customer as of 12/31/2024. To my dismay after my wife and I disconnected from our previous provider of 3.5 years we found both our phones locked after inserting Pure Talk sim cards . Cricket was able to unlock the Motorola but not the LG Stylo 6 phone. On 1/7/25 a new Samsung phone purchased and paid for in full to Pure Talk, along with insurance on that phone. Shortly after, that phone was dropped landing on sidewalk and interior damage was done. Thus begun a conflict between the new customer, new provider and insurance company. Another phone, Apple iPhone 14, was financed through Pure Talk in March. Yesterday I had an appointment with Apple Care. I was unable to connect my new phone with my email. After investigating numerous options our solution was to reroute my email address from Gmail to iCloud. Pure Talk and I as a new customer have traveled on some bumby roads, however I am grateful that God 's mercies are new and fresh every morning regardless of our circumstances. We got started on the wrong foot as the result of inaccuracy with communication on insurance date and policy. Happy to report deductable was received successfully by Square Trade, Samsung Galaxy 15A was returned to insurance provider. I am grateful to have a phone after two months, and I am pleased with Pure Talk's presence in our country and what you stand for. Hopefully this time next year my review will show 5 stars.
