I usually do not leave reviews on companies, but in this case, I felt compelled to. I purchased a set of 10 X 60 Marine binoculars some time back. Being in the Field of Law Enforcement, I needed a set of good Binoculars, I did of lot of research and finally decided on a set of Oberwerk. I have used Zeis, Vector, and even Fujinon. I found that this set was equal to and even better, than some of that I have used. I always felt a company is only as good as its customer service, well in this case my research paid off, one night getting off of patrol I put the Binoculars in a hard case, got out, and took the case in my hand, however I failed to lock the lid, as I got out. well, I heard the unmistakable crash as the binos hit the ground. I picked them up and examined them, except for some minor scratches they looked unharmed until I looked through them. Well, I literally saw double, the images were split. I told myself there they go down the drain. The next day, which was a Sunday, I decided to Email Oberwerk to get the cost of repairs and how to ship them back. Since it was Sunday, and on the weekend, I did not expect to hear from them if ever. To my astonishment not more then 15 minutes later, on a Sunday, I received an Email back from Kevin Busarow. He not only gave me the information on the cost of repairs but also stated that I could possibly repair them myself and emailed the instructions on how to do it. This would save me the repair costs and shipping. I followed the instructions given and they were fixed, without having to send them back. I wish I could give more than 5 stars, to this company, The customer service is above and beyond superb. The Bioculars are fantastic, and I don't think you would go wrong in buying a set. As proven to me, they stand behind what they sell.

I recently purchased a TR3 Walnut tripod from Oberwerk and an additional Mini-Pier as well. My plans were to use this tripod with a few portable scopes (my Stellarvue SV90T Apo and SV80ED f/7 scopes are shown below) on my Skywatcher AZ5. I own several TR3 tripods and LOVE THEM!!! they are well made, solid, and handle up to 40lbs. I have others I use with my bigger binoculars - very stable and sturdy. I really like the self-locking capabilities of these so one never worries aout a load falling over if the legs are not fully tight. (never happened yet!). The Mini-pier is well made also, fitting over the tripod and allowing ~4" extra clearance! Perfect! I have one now for my 120mm Big binos, so they clear at zenith, and one for THIS tripod for my scopes clearing zenith. Kevin and his crew are superb for customer service, and I have set many friends and coworkers looking for quality binoculars and accessories to Oberwerk. It is a unique and rare place to procure quality astronimical gear IMO. Not many around that truly have high QC, but Oberwerk IS such a place! I highly recommend Oberwerk and their quality items. After a great deal of research, I purchased the 25x100 Deluxe binoculars and the 5000 tripod. They arrived in less than a week in two separate boxes. They arrived undamaged. The binoculars were packed in an aluminum carrying case, very well constructed, and then packed in two boxes. The tripod was packed in its carrying bag inside a heavy gauge cardboard box. Upon assembly, everything was found to be working correctly, no problems or issues. Collimation is good. I have had the chance to view the sky several times and have not been disappointed. The moon looks spectacular, and I have observed several constellations and stars. The binoculars give a reasonably wide angle view for 25x mag., and with the center focus it is easy to follow moving objects. Where I live there are a lot of military aircraft that fly and are usually crossing into my view. All in all I am very happy with these binoculars and tripod. And the customer service is top notch!
