This is some text inside of a div block.
I had a fleet car for 3 years i was pleased with the car but when you return your car be very careful as they will charge you for any minor scratch. Where is reasonable damage a few stone chips I would class as wear and tear. The part I was extremely disappointed with is receiving a letter from a debt collector apparently they sent me an email charging me for stone chips. I have searched my emails for date they state they sent me a bill not got one. I checked inbox and junk and deleted. Why don't they send a letter through the post stating what you owe, why and proof of damage they charging you for. My car was picked up Dec 20th the man came with no paperwork, I had to ask for some form of ID before handing keys over. I was given no paperwork showing he collected my car it was quite nerve racking handing my keys over, if it hadn't been that I was expecting him I did hand keys over. This man was driving back to Gloucester area and then taking it to Bristol on 23rd. Did he damage car while it was in his possession. I really did look after this car and yes there were a couple of chips on bonnet but considering I had it 3 years done over 50000 miles which I obviously paid more for the lease due to mileage they can't expect a car to be returned in showroom condition. I have attached pictures of my bonnet to show how good it actually was.

Be very careful before deciding to use NHS Fleet Solutions. Communication during ordering, and indeed during the contract is dreadful. I was however fortunate and the lease company they used for my contract did deliver on time. Unfortunately, I am currently dealing with an accident with whom they use Allianz. You are unable to get any details of the insurance policy prior to signing your contract. I am now finding out that a courtesy car is not guaranteed, something that I have previously ensured is on every car insurance policy I've taken out. LAM, the people who deal with accidents on Allianz' behalf, have their own approved repairer network. The nearest date my car can even be looked at is in two weeks time. This means I now have to pay extortionate prices for car hire in the mean time, something that could have been avoided if things were made clearer upon purchase. After the issues I am currently experiencing, I was looking forward to my contract ending. However, recent reviews make me worried about end-of-lease charges but I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it.

Please read these reviews before you purchase an NHS lease car. Their whole moto is to make it affordable for NHS staff! there is nothing affordable about these cars, more so when you come to hand it back. I was recently lucky enough to land a new role with newcastle trust, with my new role being a secondment and it ending before the contract with fleet, i was forced to return the car, fleet hitting me with a £1400 fine, and if you think that was bad it got worse! 6 weeks after handing the car back I received an email ordering another payment of over £700 in damages. I was told that there was damage to the key, damage to the alloy, damage to the bumper and paint work. Upon handing the car back, the only damage that was noted was to the alloy, as the damage was very minor, I was assured by the gentleman who collected, that it would be wear and tear. I have caused no damage to the key, a quick google search told me that several people are having the same problems with VW electric keys, surely this must be down to the design. Why is there no warranty? As for the other damage, I honestly don’t understand their boundaries for “wear and tear” basically if you purchase a fleet car, leave it in your drive and don’t drive it, you might just escape a fine! (Although I’m sure they would find something). 6 weeks after returning the car, the problems continue. I was refunded a small amount of money, as they said they owed me for returning the car early. Only to find upon checking my payslip they have tried to charge me yet another month, although I have already been refunded for what they apparently owed me! no phone call, no explanation, no apology, just another £500 taken from my payslip without warning or consideration, I thought Fleet was supposed to support NHS workers? I have spoken to 3 separate people from fleet regarding this payment, I have been given 3 different answers so far. I have heard back today and apparently they are right, i do owe them another months worth! shock. Still no apology given for their mistake! Please think very carefully before trusting this company. Don’t make the same, very expensive mistake I have.

Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment toward NHS Fleet Solutions is predominantly negative, as most reviewers highlight ongoing frustrations related to damage charges, communication breakdowns, and issues with responsibility and clarity during and after the lease period. There are frequent mentions of unexpected or high fees upon returning the car, delays regarding billing or contract closure, and lack of prompt or clear communication when problems arise. A small minority of reviewers express satisfaction with staff professionalism and the simplicity of the ordering process, particularly referencing responsive staff and competitive pricing in their positive accounts.

The most recurring themes from the reviews include dissatisfaction with end-of-lease charges, lack of transparency regarding insurance and damage practices, and difficulty resolving disputes over payments or car condition. Communication failures, especially regarding order updates or accidents, are called out repeatedly, with customers describing needing to chase for responses or clear answers. Some praise is given to individual staff members and efficient processes when vehicles are delivered smoothly, but these experiences are clearly the exception.

In summary, NHS Fleet Solutions is largely viewed as inconsistent and challenging to deal with for car leasing, particularly for NHS staff in the UK. While a few customers cite positive staff interactions and timely delivery, the dominant reputation in the region is shaped by poor communication, unclear billing, and dissatisfaction with the handling of post-lease issues. Customers seeking reliability and transparent procedures may want to consider these patterns when evaluating their options.
