Quality has tanked. My last Lennox lasted 12 years. Now in less than 4 years with a new unit, I've had to get major service on my unit 5 times. One of them was the replacement of the exterior coil, and another one was a major leak in the fittings near the coil, where the copper just wore away in 3-4 years! The unit is within a covered stairwell and under a roof. The previous Lennix, I had gave me 12 years of reasonable service and so I went out of my way to buy the same brand. Big mistake! Adding insult to injury, within one year the corrosion and rust, made it look like my previous unit looked after 7 years. And I even applied a protective coat to the outer housing. All to no avail. On the last meltdown, no parts and no date for getting them! Are they kidding? Nope. After 15 years with Lennox, I switched to another brand.

I have re-written this review to give an update on my current situation. After two months with no heat pump and having to resort to commenting on Facebook posts, a 1 star Google review, and a complaint with the BBB, I can now say that I have a functioning heat pump. I will give credit where credit is due, Lennox stood by their products and paid for a new outdoor unit, line set, and indoor coils. Our compressor in our previous outdoor unit had a catastrophic failure and sent metal shards throughout both coils and the line set. I still had to cover the cost of labor, but ultimately I can live with that. If the process would have been more streamlined (without me having to voice my complaints to the world), I would be leaving a 5 star review instead of 4.

My unit is two years old and has already gone out! The company that installed my unit can not get the part from Lennox and it has been a week with no air in TX! If I hire someone else to fix it, I loose my warranty but have already spent hundreds of dollars on hotel bc my daughter has a breathing condition. They are telling there is no way to track the part in the meantime. I’m very upset with our decision to use this company.
