I ordered two batches of Laurel Common, 80 - 100 cms. They arrived roughly 2 weeks apart. The first batch were as described and we planted them as per instructions. They are currently thriving and looking good. The second batch however did not look good at all, but we persevered against my better judgement. Again, we followed the instructions to a tee and they were planted in the same continuous row, exactly the same as before. They did not survive and ended up with some expensive sticks coming out the ground, never mind the efforts to plant them. I asked for a refund or replacements, but instead got a offer of an insulting £50 to buy some new ones. They would not honour the warranty at that time I decided to give them another chance to make good, and buy a lot more plants off them as we are completing another new house build. My efforts to contact them have fell on deaf ears and I've have had emails ignored and phone calls not returned. Today is the final day I'll chase them. Ill update this review upon receipt of a phone call I've been promised, whatever the result EDIT: The promised phone call was never made. Not surprised.

Bare root yew hedge failing and trying to contact this company is an awful experience. I sent them 2 emails in March and received no reply and had to chase them up in May! Finally got a response and they tried to say that it was the soil they are planted in that was the problem! Some of the yew plants are brown and crispy and planted literally 30cm away the one next to it is thriving and has 4cm of new growth already! If it were the soil then how can this be! Replied to them explaining this and asking for replacement plants and I've had no reply. Shocking customer service! And this seems to be the experience most people are having reading the other reviews.

We are delighted with the service provided by Hopes Grove Nurseries for our multi-species hedgerow project at The Oval Bandstand in Cliftonville. From start to finish, their service was excellent. The delivery was exactly as promised, on time and perfectly packaged to ensure the saplings arrived in pristine condition. The planting instructions from their website were clear, thorough, and extremely helpful. The quality of the saplings exceeded all expectations: they were exceptionally healthy, a great size, and showed tremendous promise for strong growth. The only reason this isn’t a full 5-star review is that we would have appreciated an email from either the supplier or the delivery company just prior to the agreed delivery date to confirm everything was on track. Aside from that small improvement, we had a top-notch experience and highly recommend Hopes Grove Nurseries. Thank you for helping us create a hedgerow we’ll be proud of for years to come!
