Absolutely dreadful customer service and after care. Placed order beginning of March, still in a position where all my shutters are not right. Taken numerous days off work for them to not show and have to rearrange. Shutters installed with no groove for handles and left over 2 months not being able to open any windows, remedial work completed and still have 1 not opening. Intu blinds on bifold doors poorly installed. Complaints supposed to reply within 72hrs. Latest email unanswered for 6 days currently. I find it absolutely unbelievable that a company can continue to operate the way it currently is but they certainly don't care about the customer

Please do not use this company! We ordered electric living room blinds from them in November 2024. It has been a total shambles since then. After receiving our payment they then went awal. It took 4 attempts from us to get a surveyor booked in to do the measuring up. It's like once they had our money they stopped caring. The blinds were then fitted backwards ( by a engineer who stank of cigarette smoke and who only had 2 days training) meaning the lining was facing inwards. The remote control panel did not work correctly , and all the waste was left behinf. The engineer got my husband to sign to say the job was completed even though it wasn't because he "had to run off to start another job" and "he'd come back to finish ours another time". The blinds also did not fit and bunched together when in their opening position, despite 2 x Hillary staff coming out to measure. When we eventually got another Hillarys engineer out to turn the blinds the right way. He explained that we would either need to have the blinds remade to fit as they had been measured incorrectly or we would need to remove our skirting boards. As we had already been without working blinds for a month at this point we begrudgingly modified our skirting boards. 2 days after the blinds were re fit one developed a loud squeak. This escalated into the blind breaking a few days later. We were once again left without working blinds for another 2.5 weeks and repeatedly had to chase Hillarys for updates on time-frames. In total we have had functional blinds for 14% of the total time that they have been hanging in our house. Today hilarious offered us a pathetic 10% compensation for all the inconvenience. I wish we'd gone with any other company!

One of the many reasons I recommend Hillary’s to family and friends is the customer service. The advisors are incredibly polite, even removing their shoes and using wipes to ensure they don't leave any mess. We had an awning fitted in May by Max and again it was no fuss or mess leaving us with an extra room to use in the summer.
