My financial advisor recommended Gorvins to me. I did a google search & read many reviews and was quite surprised to see either 1* or 5*’s. Either excellent reviews or not very good, not much in the middle. I was quite nervous and unsure about using them. I had a woman called Rachel help me with buying a property, my property was a Shared Ownership property and I was advised by the housing association to use their recommended solicitors. I was thoroughly pleased I used this company. Rachel communicated with me all the way, answer my questions promptly and always took my telephone calls when I needed her. I found her and the process nice and easy and my completion went through within the time scale agreed with no problems. I would think the 1*to5* reviews would depend on who looks after you, but I would defiantly recommend and especially to anyone doing Shared Ownership. Shared Ownership will advise you to use there recommended solicitors. I am grateful I did not.

Used Gorvins for our first-time house purchase. While they ultimately got us to completion, the service had significant issues that made an already stressful process harder than it needed to be. Positives: - Transaction completed successfully Negatives: - Poor communication throughout - often unreachable by email/messages - Failed to inform us of important changes (found out completion date had changed less than a week before exchange only by chance when I called) - Minimal guidance for first-time buyers unless repeatedly pressed for advice - Unresponsive during critical moments (didn't exchange when promised, no updates) Our case manager Maria didn't provide the support you'd expect, especially for first-time buyers. We felt like we had to chase for updates constantly. They got the job done in the end, but the lack of proactive communication and guidance made the whole experience much more stressful than necessary. For the price point, expected better service. Would probably shop around for alternatives next time.
