Update: I have been reached out to by Georgia Home Movers to amend the issue. When they understood the severity of the issue they took it upon themselves to replace the damaged good. I am currently waiting on it to arrive. In order to protect myself, I will edit this review once it's received and I can confirm they've upheld what they said and it's what I asked for. Below is the original review: "To your point if a leg on a chair is broken by Georgia Law which we are governed by moving company’s are only responsible to weigh the actual leg not the entire chair." This is a real quote from the company as I try to get the. To compensate my glass table they shattered. The loading in went smoothly, however I was not made aware of the insurance policy until the very last moment. People are already working, the font is small. Loading in went fine and the workers themselves were sociable and flexible. At one point I very plainly warned everyone that an aluminum booth was potentially very heavy to lift, an had sharp edged if they didn't mind where it was safe to hold. I told them they could cut themselves on it. While unloading I heard a shout and saw only two workers trying to lift a heavy booth over their heads now covering their hands which were covered in blood. They both had deep gashes and I helped them teat their wounds. They wrapped up their hands on cotton towels and insisted on working. It was awkward and uncomfortable. I felt like they were rushing even though I was paying them by the hour. The same workers who were injured, one of which was in charge lifted my dining table, likely the heaviest objects I own. When it was clear it wouldn't fit through the door they turning it upwards mid move then dropped it on its side, shattering the entire top sheet of glass which was glued to the table. The basic insurance only covers $0.60 per lb of object dropped. The value does not matter and they will be very specific about only the damaged parts, not the rest of the object. Limbs of furniture, panes of glass, only the parts get compensated so they don't have to claim on the entire object being broken. The rest of the move I just had them move everything to the easiest posible location to get them out of my house. There was glass all over my floor, they rolled a beanbag through it covering it also in glass and left me with the table to set in the garage and deal with. It was uncomfortable and I wish I felt like I didn't have to both babysit them and also ask them to work while bleeling all over. It was on me to supply them with anything I had to treat their wounds, which I didn't, I was just moving in, and they certainly didn't have any bandages on their truck. Yes of course I wish I got the better insurance but more I feel like there was a recklessness that let them damaging my things in the first place. They didnt ever wear gloves, they only got the minimum number of people per object. I don't understand, Im paying for the service so why speed through uless there is incentive to charge for the travel to the next job, the bulk of where they make their money. Maybe you will get lucky but be mindful of being rushed through the contract, you will have to watch over them and they will not use extra caution if something is heavier than they think it is even if you point it out. What is the point in paying for professionals if they don't even use safety equipment?

I used Georgia Home Movers for two separate moves this week and had a stellar experience with both teams. They are prompt, polite, and took great care of my belongings. Josh and his crew took on a few especially heavy and sentimental items for us and did wonderfully. So, Charles, and Sean were 10/10 for our second move, they wrapped items beautifully and overall were real professionals who showed up prepared and ready to put in the work. I wouldn't have survived this week without them! Cannot recommend using Georgia Home Movers enough for your next move.
