Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment for Full Sail University, as seen in customer reviews, is notably mixed, leaning toward negative. Several reviewers describe difficulties with administrative support, course credit transfers, and responsiveness, with some expressing frustration at the lack of practical job placement and feeling unsupported. Issues with transparency, high costs, and pressure regarding loans also recur, and veterans, students with disabilities, and families share strong criticism. Still, a minority mention dedicated instructors and engaging course materials.

Common feedback includes praise for hands-on learning and industry-focused curriculum, especially in creative fields like Computer Animation and entertainment. Positive remarks often highlight passionate instructors, project-based assignments, and exposure to real-world industry practices. Yet, recurring negative themes are administrative inefficiency, aggressive financial policies, a lack of accommodations for nontraditional learners, and insufficient job placement support, especially outside certain cities.

In summary, Full Sail University holds a mixed reputation, with commendations for its creative curriculum overshadowed by consistent dissatisfaction with administrative processes, student support, and value. The institution's approach to job placement and academic flexibility draws especially sharp criticism in Orlando and beyond. Prospective students should weigh the benefits of hands-on learning against reported administrative and financial barriers.

I was excited about Full Sail’s Business Entertainment degree, especially since I had six years of college credits that should have transferred to cover GE Requirements and much more. After reviewing my transcript and catalog, it was clear the requirements were fulfilled. However, the experience was a nightmare. I called multiple times and couldn’t get through to anyone. Instead, I received random callbacks from people who hadn’t reviewed my account and couldn’t help. I was told key departments like the Registrar and Credit Transfer Team didn’t have phone numbers and couldn’t be contacted. No one had the authority to resolve the issue. It felt like Full Sail was more interested in pushing students into taking out large loans than offering any real support or transparency. The entire process wasted my time and left me feeling frustrated and ignored. I’ve learned more from street smarts than I would ever learn from this University. If you're looking for a school that values students and provides real support, look elsewhere.

Graduated from B.A Degree in Computer Animation. If you are a person that is eager to learn, loves a fast-paced environment, want to dip your toes into the entertainment field and its pipeline, just wanna learn more about art, music and even IT in the setting of Film and Game, or even have a dream that you wanna fufill then this place is for you. Full Sail has very good courses that give you hands-on experiences and help you learn how the industry works. It isn't a cheap experience but it is worth every penny. So long as you are willing to put the effort in and dedicate yourself to mastering your craft. Be warned, there is a heavy lean to the industry of Film and Game. But know that this path is not for everyone and you are allowed to make your path and follow your own goals for what you wanna get out of this school. Creativity is always celebrated and never be afraid to let that shine. The motto, "If you are serious about your dream, we'll take your dream seriously." Rings true. Also, Full Sail Squirrels, its a thing. 🤣

I attended Full Sail back in 1982 for basic multi track engineering. I had a good instructor who taught me the fundamentals. They also taught me the realities of landing a job in the recording studio - mainly that you have to" pay your dues"! Anyway, I wound up getting into television news and made it to ABC News New York!
