Utterly Disgraceful – Avoid Donaghy Bros at All Costs Donaghy Bros have completely failed not just in customer service, but in their legal duty as a retailer. I purchased a £1,400 Siemens washing machine that has never worked properly. Despite multiple engineer visits, the issue remains unresolved—months later. Worse still is how the situation has been handled. I was repeatedly fobbed off by James, the general manager, with empty promises that the issue would be fixed. These were clearly just stalling tactics. When it came time to take real responsibility, they went silent. This is not a minor inconvenience—it’s a blatant breach of consumer law. I’ve spent close to £15,000 with Donaghy’s over the years, and it counts for absolutely nothing when they’re faced with a serious problem. They refuse to replace the machine, repair it properly, or offer a refund—all of which they are legally required to do. Let me be clear: Donaghy Bros are knowingly avoiding their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act. They are ignoring the problem in the hope I’ll give up. If you’re considering buying from them, ask yourself: what happens if something goes wrong? Based on my experience, the answer is simple—you’ll be ignored. Buy elsewhere. Don’t risk it.

SOLD A FAULTY ITEM - ABSOLUTELY APPALLING AFTERSALES COMMUNICATION - Bought a Dyson cordless hoover as a gift only to find when we opened it the hoover wouldn't work. Emailed a man in Donaghys informing him.of this and he advised the hoover would be collected by DPD on Monday (Bank Holiday Easter Monday)! Surprise surprise DPD didn't collect the faulty item so I emailed the man on Tuesday again to enquire what's the story with collection. He said he had now organised collection for the Wednesday. Again no sign of DPD on the Wednesday so I got onto the courier company to ask them if they had been contacted by Donaghys. They said I should have been given a collection reference number by Donaghys if a request of collection had been made by them. I have emailed Donaghys yet again to request this number and now they are not responding back to my emails. I tried to ring the landline number for the company and no answer when I try to get through to the returns department. Funnily enough they had no problem answering the phone when I tried the sales department and when I asked if they could transfer me over to the returns department they said that it was not possible to do that. Instead I was advised to send an email. Which would be great if someone were to reply to me!! So far I've now spent 2 days waiting at home for a courier to arrive that probably hasn't been booked, sent numerous emails that are not being replied to now, I have a gift for someone worth near 300 euro that I cannot give as it doesn't work and ive also had a baby in the last week so this is the last thing I need on my plate. However due to the appalling aftersales experience I've encountered or lack of it I now have no choice but to proceed with a charge back in order to recoup my money for this faulty item as I cannot give any more time to this issue especially when the company is not engaging with me. Shame it's come to this as you try to shop local and support the smaller companies but Ive never had this hassle when buying from the bigger companies so will revert back to them again in the future.

Not only the most competitive prices in NI but excellent customer service. My integrated fridge,ordered Wed and delivered( free) on Saturday. Fitted by Bradley and his brother, efficient, pleasant and wouldn't leave until completely happy with the installation. All roof 5 stars
