The app works fine, but - and this is a deal breaker - there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. You get an email address, and they might get back to you when they can... Massively unprofessional. I've had my device stolen and the other two banks I use were able to cancel access from the device as soon as I phoned them. Still waiting on the email back from Chip, though. I'll be dealing only with grown-up banks in the future.

**Chip has put my savings at risk** 🚨 I never thought I’d have to fight to access my own money, but that’s exactly what’s happening with Chip. Despite multiple attempts to resolve an issue, I’ve been met with delays, unhelpful responses, and a worrying lack of urgency from their support team. I noticed that on the app I could neither transfer or withdraw any money from my cash isa. With no phone number you are at the hands of their online customer service. That was over 48 hours ago and apart from a security check 7 hours into my nightmare I've not heard a thing except to tell me that it's been passed onto a team and that was only because I bombarded them with emails. Saving should be safe and stress-free, but this experience has been anything but. Having funds locked away without a resolution is unacceptable, and the anxiety it causes is something no customer should have to face. If you’re considering Chip for your savings, think twice—I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this nightmare. Have you had similar issues? I have been with Chip now for a little over a year, after understanding how to initially set up the app and linking bank accounts, I have not had any issues, all transactions have been seamless. While I do not have the financial reserves, I did open and set up an investing account, out of curiosity, and it was easy and straight forward to open and transfer out 'gains'. Although I have since closed the investment fund I am happy with the process and feel comfortable to do so in the future. I was happy enough with Chip and the app that I recommended to my partner who also now has an account. It's a shame there are so many poor reviews, which do not fit with my personal experience.
