Absolutely unacceptable treatment by Avianca Airlines. Our family of four, including a 12-year-old and 14-year-old, was separated across the cabin despite booking all together on the same reservation well in advance. Avianca seated our minor children away from their parents, which is not just inconvenient — it is irresponsible and unacceptable. We asked for help at the gate and onboard, and were told there was "nothing they could do." This is a basic safety and decency issue. No family should have to beg to sit next to their children, especially when traveling internationally. We expected much better from an airline that promotes itself as family-friendly. If Avianca cannot guarantee that families with minors are seated together, they need to warn customers clearly or fix their broken seat assignment system. Extremely disappointed and will think twice before flying Avianca again.

The worst airline! To many reasons to list from inflated prices, to lack of any decent meals on long flights. This airline has tiny seats made for people that weight 120 LBS. They are the worst!

Avianca airlines website and app purposely leave out options like canceling flights and we spent over 2 hours trying to add suitcases to our flight without result, forcing us to pay at the airport which cost $135.10 usd, and we had to pay that each way, costing a total of $270.20 for one suitcase, which was $50 more than the flight. I was leaving g at a later date and tried canceling my flight to avoid this same criminal situation and there was no option to do so. I used the Avianca WhatsApp option and it was absolutely no help, leading me to conclude it’s all planned to be this way so that they can charge unnecessarily expensive fees for bags. Everything is designed to take more money and customer service is about useless. I will never fly with this airline again and I am a frequent flier on several airlines.
