Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment for Appliance City based on customer reviews is markedly negative. Reviewers often highlight issues with customer service, such as staff being unhelpful, dismissive, or unwilling to resolve problems. Several customers experienced difficulties with failed appliances, problematic deliveries, or rigid company policies. Only a small minority noted positive encounters with specific team members or smooth transactions, while most expressed disappointment and frustration.

Common feedback centers on delivery reliability, responses to service failures, and handling of post-purchase issues. Many reviews describe failed or delayed deliveries, refusal to refund or reattempt installations without extra charge, and short return windows unsuited to home renovation timelines. Customers are especially critical of Appliance City's third-party installers and communication inconsistencies when things go wrong. There are isolated remarks of professionalism and efficiency from named staff, but these are exceptions.

In summary, Appliance City’s reputation, particularly for appliances and white goods, is largely undermined by service lapses and inflexible policies. While some drivers and sales staff receive individual praise, most Nottingham-based customers report a lack of support when problems arise. Overall, Appliance City is regarded as inconsistent, with significant gaps in after-sales care and delivery management.

Appliance City sold us a faulty Smeg oven which has had multiple issues and failed after 4 years due to faulty printed circuit board - very expensive to fix! Consumer rights stipulate Appliance City have a legal responsibility to repair, replace or refund within 6 years if goods are not of satisfactory quality - which the oven is clearly not based on price paid and brand reputation. However I am utterly appalled with their unhelpful customer service and response. A complete lack of customer care and unwillingness to help or accept any responsibility. Purposefully trying to tie us in knots on responsibility rather than be helpful. The customer service agent was appalling. We are now having to take them to small claims court. A horrible experience. If you buy from Appliance City just hope you don’t have any problems with your appliance. We will never buy from Appliance City again.

Excellent customer service and transaction. Ordered a Hisense fridge freezer. Arrived on delivery date, Well packaged and the two delivery drivers, Kevin and Khead were top class in bringing the new freezer in and taking old one away for recycling. THANK YOU to all the team for a smooth transaction. Would highly recommend Appliance City to everyone. Full ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Failed delivery twice and blame Customer for not having common sense. Each time they fail delivery they will charge customers for it. First time: drive turned up saying they forgot straps they can’t deliver today. Which was then proved to be a lie by their manager who called to charge for failed delivery. Got to director of operation and got promised it will be delivered next day without any charge. Then new driver turned up and said door way 3cm too narrow, it can’t be delivered even with fridge door and hinges taken off. I ask them to measure the door and hinges to proof that it’s 3cm too wide. They won’t even dare to try and measure. They would charge customers for “failed delivery “ without even trying to measure and deliver. They lied to customers that they did not have the straps therefore can’t be delivered. Customers are reminded that we have to have the common sense to know that a fridge freezer can’t be delivered and it is all your fault. Customer service people has such an attitude of hooliganism. Try your best to avoid!
