This is some text inside of a div block.
I’ve been a swimming member at Westcroft Leisure Centre for over a year and generally enjoyed the facilities. However, since upgrading to a GP referral membership in July, I’ve been repeatedly asked to pay for entry or activities since September. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this through the Everyone Active app and phone calls, I’ve received no response. It’s incredibly frustrating to explain my situation at the entrance every morning for my swim, now for half a month. Poor customer service and lack of communication need urgent attention. Please fix this issue!

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Policies and Substandard Conditions I had an urgent travel commitment and requested to freeze my membership for just one month, a reasonable ask. Shockingly, I was told the freeze can only be applied for the next to next month. This policy is completely illogical and offers no flexibility for genuine situations. On top of it, they still charge you for freezing the membership. This feels like nothing short of a trap. Money keeps flowing from members while the management hides behind rigid, illogical and senseless rules. The facility itself is no better. It’s highly overcrowded, with little to no attention paid to hygiene. There is absolutely no sense of leisure or comfort here, just a relentless drive to cover costs at the members’ expense. Overall, a deeply disappointing experience. I would advise potential members to be cautious and read the fine print very carefully before signing up.

Overall speaking, it's quite good. Swimming pools and changing areas are hygeneic, courts are equipped with air-conditioner. But I'm not happy with the swimming course offered by them as they do not provide a regular assessment for kids and keep them in the same stage of learning for a pretty long time even though the child's making obvious progress. Their Sports Passport online doesn't show the progress of your child at all. They won't notify you when they have a substitute coach even if it's for a few weeks. Communication is zero. But their coaches are indeed quite good - children enjoy going swimming every week So, if you are keen on having your child learning swimming and making progress, it's not advisable to choose this centre. If you just want to get something for the kids to do every week and enjoy the pool, it may be a good choice.

Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment for Westcroft Leisure Centre is mixed, based on customer reviews of its gym, swimming, and other facilities. While several users appreciate the hygienic pool and gym spaces, the friendliness of staff in classes, and a positive group exercise environment, substantial frustration exists around poor customer service, lack of communication, and issues with booking and accessibility. Recurring complaints include slow or absent responses to membership or refund queries, difficulties with app functionality, and negative experiences with specific staff members.

The most notable patterns relate to management policy rigidity, accessibility challenges for disabled users, and crowding in classes or facilities. Many customers mention broken or unrepaired equipment—like lifts and pool hoists—weak communication about repairs, and lack of updates when substitute coaches appear. Others lament inflexible membership or booking systems, as well as punctuality issues impacting value for time-sensitive sessions. On the positive side, coaches and class instructors tend to be well-regarded for their skill and inclusiveness.

Westcroft Leisure Centre's reputation in the Sutton area is shaped both by the breadth of its offerings and persistent operational shortcomings. Though it provides a range of fitness, swimming, and racquet sport options, unresolved maintenance issues, membership frustrations, and inconsistent customer support undermine its position as a fully reliable community leisure centre. Prospective members should carefully consider these recurring concerns when choosing a facility in the region.
