Reviews Summary

The Kitchen Depot in Glasgow has received a mix of feedback from customers which together paint a nuanced picture of the company's reputation and customer experience. Positive comments note the high level of satisfaction with the finished product, great advice from staff, and efficient problem-solving by customer service teams. However, this positive outlook is counterbalanced by serious criticisms. A significant number of customers have reported experiences marked by poor communication, prolonged delays, and subpar installation quality. Issues such as incorrect measurements, unkept promises about timelines and services, and difficulties in obtaining post-service support for fixing issues have been recurring themes. The negative reviews frequently mention logistical problems leading to unfinished kitchens long after the stipulated time, highlighting a trend that could indicate operational weaknesses. Despite the commendable outcomes for some, the overall reputation of The Kitchen Depot - Glasgow suffers due to these delivery and service inconsistencies.

Pretty terrible from start to finish. * Salesman initially measured up the kitchen sizes wrongly. * Estimator came out to check the sizes and said salesman got it wrong and we'd need to go back for a redesign. * Was told the old kitchen would be taken out a few days prior to the new one going in. Not the case in my instance and I had to have all the new kitchen units and appliances filling up my entire flat for 3 days. * Was told the old kitchen stuff would be taken away sharply. Took best part of 5 days for them to come back and lift all the old stuff from the front entrance after it rained and everything looked a riot. * Was told kitchen would be started on the Monday - this got pushed back to a rush job of fitting it over 1.5 days over a weekend. * Electrician they sent was a cowboy. I've had to spend extra now to fix his shoddy work. * Finished quality of the kitchen isn't great either. Lines and gaps all over the place, but probs to be expected when they rush it over a weekend. * Trying to get any assistance from the manager was a nightmare, had to eventually write to the directors of the company, which you can find by using the Companies House website, to finally get action on the list of things I wanted fixed after they had finished the initial install of the kitchen. * Took months for them to agree and send out someone to fix the issues. * Got charged £200 for them to update the surroundings of a kitchen window. They just took off the wooden exterior, didn't add any PVC as I had asked for and paid for, and left it as is. * Eventually complained enough that they offered me £150 on a pre-paid card as compensation. Never received it. * They wanted to charge me extra to have some lights fixed, but waived the fee when I mentioned my friend had recommended kitchen depot in the first instance to me, to which they said I should have received a referral fee, which they will just use to send out an electrician to fix my lights with. Very kind of them to spend my 'referral fee' for me on a fix for my own lights that they should have sorted long ago. Could be I've just been unlucky several times over with them in one go. Use at your own risk. Services: Paint indoors, Remodeling, Furniture assembly

7 weeks later and my kitchen still isn’t finished. Doors were returned by the kitchen fitter as they were chipped. No one is able to tell me when it will be finished. Once they have your money they lose interest and despite having you believe everything is made in house, I was told that doors are outsourced . Instead of wasting their budget on annoying adverts , they should spend it on improving the training of the customer services staff.
