This is some text inside of a div block.
I bought a new build 7 years ago with a symphony kitchen fitted. Within the first 6 months EVERY kitchen door developed blisters on the bottom panels and I complained. Someone came out to look and the report basically blamed ‘over zealous cleaning’ and use of kitchen appliances like kettles rather than accepting the real cause, either poor quality or a faulty batch. I just left it at that point because there was no taking sense to them or the developer, all they wanted to do was Fim me off, and walk away without accepting any liability for what were categorically faulty items. Its is a kitchen it’s always going to have a degree of steam, moisture, heat etc, so the fact the cabinet doors can’t withstand that is a manufacturing issue not a normal use issue! The reason I’m leaving this now is because over the years the kitchen has just got worse and worse to the point that it’s just a sight now. Every door has blown and it looks awful. I would not recommend this company to anyone neither in terms of quality nor customer service, once you get you’re stuck with it irrespective of how bad it might be. The photos are from 7 years ago by the way and the ones supplied to the developer and symphony at the time!

My new build came with a Symphony Kitchen. We paid for upgrades but the overall quality of the fit and finish is very poor. We had to have 12 doors replaced in snagging. Buts have broken and fallen off. The materials feel cheap and the standard of fit is generally quite poor. I've lived in my house for 3 months and I'm already looking at having a new kitchen fitted. Not a company I would use based on my experience.

We had a Symphony kitchen fitted in 2019. Recently there was a slight problem with the painted finish. The response to my complaint has been nothing short of amazing. I feel, after five years, most companies would have put it down to wear and tear, but not Symphony. I spoke to Simon who was so helpful and sympathetic and quickly arranged a survey. All the cupboard and drawer fronts have been replaced and it's like a brand new kitchen. I don't have the names of all the people involved but would like to thank them all. Very special thanks to fitters Tracey, Kevin and Brian, you were so lovely, did an excellent job and had time for a chat. A big thank you to Simon for arranging the replacements and being so generous. I wholeheartedly recommend Symphony Kitchens, fantastic company supplying high standard kitchens.

Reviews Summary

Overall, customer perceptions of Symphony Kitchens are largely negative, with reviewers consistently raising concerns about quality, durability, and after-sales support. Several accounts mention faulty cabinets or fixtures soon after installation, with responses from Symphony often cited as unhelpful or dismissive. There is, however, one notable exception describing exceptional remedial service and friendly staff, suggesting occasional strong individual support. While a few reviewers acknowledge kitchen designs as visually appealing, most express disappointment with product lifespan and workmanship.

Key themes throughout the reviews include issues with installation quality, damaged items on delivery, and slow or inadequate responses to complaints. Contractors' skills and respect for property are a recurring point of criticism, and some users note that their problems stemmed more from subpar installation than the kitchen units themselves. A repeat customer purchasing via a builder’s merchant reports no major issues—highlighting that independent installation may influence satisfaction.

Based on this public feedback, Symphony Kitchens currently struggles with its reputation, particularly regarding installation standards and customer care in the UK. Although product design occasionally earns compliments and independent installers have positive experiences, widespread issues with both workmanship and post-sales resolution undermine confidence in the company’s kitchen offerings.

Frequently Asked Questions About Symphony Group PLC

How responsive is Symphony Kitchens' after-sales and customer care?

Customer reviews indicate inconsistent after-sales support. While one customer described prompt issue resolution and friendly staff, most users report slow responses, unresolved complaints, or failed follow-up after installation problems.

Are installation problems common with Symphony Kitchens?

Many reviewers experience installation issues, including damaged items, poorly fitted units, and careless contractors. Satisfaction appears higher among customers who use their own independent installers rather than relying on those arranged by the company or developers.

Does Symphony Kitchens coordinate directly with end customers for repairs or replacements?

Depending on the purchase route, Symphony Kitchens may refer customers back to merchants or developers for issue resolution. This process can result in delays, as some buyers report receiving slow or incomplete responses to repair or replacement requests.
