Shania Sarbacker rated Sunlighten Saunas 1 stars

As a commercial gym that has been in business for 18+ years, we invested $12K+ in a Sunlighten 4 person mPulse Infrared Sauna, expecting a premium product. Instead, we’ve faced multiple serious quality issues that should have never happened.
Major Issues We Experienced:
1. Red Light Panel Failures – Within just over a month, our red light panels began flickering, and we discovered that every single red light bulb had burned out. Sunlighten had no explanation for why this happened and offered to send replacements, requiring us to disassemble and reinstall all the panels ourselves.
2. Incorrect & Damaged Wall Panel – After installing a friend’s Sunlighten 3-person sauna, we realized our right-side wall panel was missing exterior lights. Additionally, it arrived with a visible crack, which Sunlighten initially suggested sanding down. Only after pushing back did they agree to replace the wall.
3. Difficult Installation & Lack of Accountability The sauna took over 4+ hours to install, and instead of receiving a flawless unit, we were left with multiple critical defects. Now, we have to completely dismantle the sauna to replace the defective wall, a mistake that was entirely preventable with proper quality control.
Sunlighten’s Poor Handling of the Situation:
• They admitted they don’t know why the red lights failed but still expect us to reinstall everything.
• They claim the replacement wall costs over $1,500, yet their only compensation was a $450 offer—which does nothing to cover our time, labor, and frustration.
• Their customer service approach has been reactive, not proactive, making this process far more difficult than it should be.
We referred residential customer to Sunlighten, bringing them additional business, yet their handling of our situation has been disappointing at best. When a company positions itself as a premium brand, it should stand behind its product, take full responsibility for defects, and ensure the customer isn’t burdened with fixing their mistakes.
For a business investment of this size, Sunlighten has failed to deliver. We expected better quality, better troubleshooting, and better customer support, but unfortunately, that was not our experience. Would not recommend for commercial use or anyone expecting a hassle-free experience.
