Rosemary Crouch End's customer reviews analysis

An analysis of the most recent customer feedback for Rosemary Crouch End reveals a generally positive reputation, driven by their offerings and ambiance. The establishment is commended for its broad selection of juices and shakes, tasty and promptly served food, and healthy options on the menu, including vegetarian and vegan choices. The interior is consistently described as stylish, comfortable, and conducive to both dining and work, with customers particularly appreciating the calm atmosphere and WiFi availability. However, several critical observations have surfaced, including inadequacies in staffing during peak hours, issues with food temperature such as cold baked beans, and dishes that could be more substantial. Furthermore, some guests noted a lack of sauce or blandness in side salads, cozy but uncomfortably close table arrangements posing privacy concerns, and occasional delays in service. Kid-friendliness and the venue's capacity to accommodate pets are also highlighted, the latter of which raises divided opinions.

Positive Feedback

The strengths of Rosemary Crouch End primarily lie in its wide array of juices and healthy food options, with customers frequently acknowledging the freshness and taste of the meals. Many reviews praise the restaurant for its ambiance, specifically mentioning the relaxing and welcoming setting that is seemingly well-suited for customers seeking a comfortable dining experience or a work-friendly environment with dependable WiFi. Portion sizes are generally hailed as satisfactory, and the pricing is deemed reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. The service, though noted to have room for improvement during busy periods, is otherwise found to be efficient and friendly, with staff being described as active and knowledgeable when advising customers on menu choices.

Concerns and Threads

Although the overarching sentiment towards Rosemary Crouch End is favourable, a few recurring criticisms can be discerned from the customer feedback. A notable issue includes instances of understaffing, particularly during busy times such as Saturday mornings, resulting in a diminished service experience. Moreover, certain food items like baked beans and side salads were criticized for being cold or lacking flavor, respectively. The restaurant's intimate table arrangement, while cozy, has been met with some discomfort from patrons who prefer more personal space and quieter dining. Additionally, pet-friendliness is a double-edged sword; while some enjoy the inclusive atmosphere, others find the presence of animals, particularly dogs looking for food, intrusive.

The food was tasty and arrived pretty quickly. Dish size was good as well as the selection having all the classics. There is a huge selection of juices and shakes of course and I’ve had them before and they’re very good. There was only one active waitress when we arrived Saturday morning and it would’ve been better to have two. In the pancakes dish which is mixed with English breakfast (forgot the dish name) the baked beans came cold, they should be hot. The salad that came with the eggs Benedict had no sauce or flavoring at all so too bland to eat for my liking. Other than that both dishes were very good. The door was open so it was rather chilly to sit inside. The reason for 4/5 and not 5/5 is that the experience could be improved on several areas (number of waitstaff, temperature of food and the space itself, salad dressing) Kid-friendliness: There was a baby changing station in the toilet and there are kid dishes on the menu. There was a lot of kids when we came there.

Located in the heart of Crouch End, this was my first visit to Rosemary. From the outside, it looked very inviting. It was pretty busy during a Thursday lunch time. Tables were extremely cosy, we had a table which seated four next to us. However there was only one customer sitting and a dog under the table. I didn't realise it was dog friendly, issue was, the dog kept coming across and under our table searching for food. A no no from me. Anyway service was good, I can be indecisive when ordering off a menu. So the server recommend the Mediterranean breakfast, so I decided to give it a try. We ordered the breakfast tea, which was served in a huge cup and sauce. Lovely. Food didn't take long tp arrive. The Mediterranean breakfast was well presented but didn't look substantive. It contained smaller pots, one had a few olives, another with strawberry jam, another with tahii and another with honey. The two pieces of sourdough bread looked like the end bits. There was an awful lot of cheese, two slices of grilled halloumi, a slice of feta. I also had a Borek, chopped cucumbers, scrambled eggs and beef sausage. It looked well presented but not so substantial. My friend ordered the avocado and poached eggs. It was pleasant and enjoyable. Clean toilets and step free access. Overall good service, tables were very close and cosy, I was able to listen to my neighbours conversations rather than my own. Bit uncomfortable. Towards the end, the restaurant was almost empty, it took a while to find a server and ask for the bill.

Today was my first visit to Rosemary and I was so impressed! There was a stylish and comfortable interior - well-lit, but not too bright - just a really nice vibe. The service was fast and I had a delicious and really fresh avocado and chicken salad and a green juice. This place will definitely be my new Crouch End favourite.
