🚨 RED FLAG WARNING: Deceptive Billing and Misleading Sales Practices by Ooma Business Phone System I am sharing this warning based on my personal and disappointing experience with Ooma, a company I initially trusted to handle my business phone system. I was approached by an Ooma representative who assured me of the following: A 30-day free trial, with no charges during that period. After the trial, a monthly fee of $34.95 for two lines. A business phone would be provided as part of the agreement. However, shortly after agreeing to the setup, everything changed: I received an email stating that I would be charged $45.95/month—not the $34.95 I was promised. Worse, when I checked my bank account, I saw an unauthorized charge of $64.73, far above both quoted amounts. The pricing was not what was agreed upon, and the billing was executed without transparency or consent. When I called to request a full refund, I was met with resistance, excuses, and blame-shifting from Ooma representatives. The customer service is inconsistent and unreliable—one rep says one thing, and the next tells you something completely different.
