Hurricane Debby (2024) was a slow-moving, destructive and erratic tropical cyclone that caused widespread severe flooding. While South Florida escaped the worst of the hurricane, a tree did fall on the guest house where I was staying. The home owner was in Europe at the time, so I was delighted with the quick response and excellent service I received when I reached out to Monster Tree Service of Greater Boca Raton! The following morning, a representative of the company arrived to assess the situation. He was knowledgable, professional and polite - and he discovered additional unstable, dead trees on the property. He provided a reasonable estimate ($3,000) that required a small deposit ($300) and the office was quite accommodating me as the owner's representative in signing the contract and arranging payment. Every step of the way, the office staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. The following day, two crews arrived and set to work. The foreman graciously accommodated my request to take before and after photos of the roof, in case the owner needed to file an insurance claim, or in case the roof was damaged during tree removal operations. The crews took extraordinary measures to protect the guest house roof and the extensive plantings on the property. Further, one of the previously unknown dead trees was inches from pipes for the water system, yet the professionals on the crew safely and efficiently removed that tree, as well. The entire crew worked quickly and professionally, and removed all cut trunks, limbs and branches - even cleaning up the leaves and pine needles - from the site.
