Sheer delight dealing with this company, we visited the showrooms three times, no interference or hard sell but staff around to answer questions and suggest solutions.
We ordered the Lindwood in Dove Grey, solid wood painted with a two pack paint, some 21 units including magic corner unit, sliding double height pantry unit, double height housing for vacuum cleaners, floor mops, vax floor cleaner, and other cleaning fluids. A double height housing for built in microwave and cooker with top space for cooking and baking trays. Another double width unit to house an American style freezer, 6 X 1000 wide sliding drawers for cloths, cooking trays, sandwich maker, plastic food containers and breakfast cereals.
We are both retired, late 70's almost 80.
The units were delivered on the day ordered and delivered to the door (garage) all 82 boxed units. Initially this was a daunting prospect, however all the units clearly marked crossed off against a list from the delivery team, and the three heavy double units were brought into the house and sited in the middle of the kitchen near to where they were to be fitted.
It took a day to strip out the old kitchen and take to the local tip. a further day to break up 3 large kitchen 3 X 3 metre granite units and take to the tip.
In total to fit all the units over a three month period was a good three weeks work, complicated because we wanted a working kitchen. We also had to incorporate a full size dishwasher not an integrated unit which were expensive and of smaller capacity.
We also purchased from DIY Kitchens 4 doors units, this was to allow the fitting of a full size washing machine and also a dryer. ( units from other suppliers did not cater for full size units only their own integrated expensive own brands). These two units work well and when the doors are shut appear to be just base units, but when open allow access for cleaning both the washer and the filters in the dryer.
Additiona to my original calculations was required two additional full size 2800 X 600 end panels for the American freezer which were delivered in 3 days, other than that everything fitted and worked fine.
I am not a kitchen fitter but over the years have been experienced in many DIY tasks in and around the home.
No specialist tools ( A new saw from B&Q £8 ), a measuring tape, various screwdrivers, a small power drill and various size drills for the hanging of the wall units, a square metal edge for the right angles, I purchased a box of small steel brackets for the fitting of the washer and dryer units, and bought a box of mixed screws and also a box of cabinet connectors, these were additional to those supplied in the pack from DIY Kitchens, but I wasn't sure of this until I started building up the units.
Photos show kitchen before (RED/Maroon). then the housings for washer and dryer housing ( Both full size) Sliding parlour and cooker/microwave unit.

Costs for the DIY kitchen units just under £7000.
The nearest quote from a well known high street seller for a MDF base vinyl wrap £12500, plus £4500 fitting.
