Reviews Summary

Overall, customer sentiment about David Weekley Homes is mixed, with experiences ranging from highly dissatisfied to extremely positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight significant issues with construction quality, delays in service response, and warranty concerns, particularly regarding unresolved defects like leaks, warped doors, and problems with HVAC and paint. Positive feedback does exist but is notably outweighed by recurring frustrations about company processes and corporate responsiveness.

The most frequent themes include complaints about unresolved structural and design flaws, slow or unhelpful responses from the corporate office, and difficulties receiving earnest money refunds. On the positive side, some customers praise individual team members, such as warranty representatives and sales staff, for their professionalism and supportive approach. Interactions with specific employees or teams receive more positive remarks than the company as a whole, especially when prompt issue resolution occurs.

Based on reviews, David Weekley Homes’ reputation is polarized in markets like Jacksonville, FL and communities such as Bridgeland and LakeView Ranch. While there are isolated accounts of positive home buying experiences and friendly staff, consistent quality issues and unaddressed complaints lead to customer caution and a mixed public perception.

David Weekely Homes used to be a good builder but not anymore. I feel very disappointed with both the building quality and services. The house I am currently living in is the 2nd David Weekely Home I have purchsed. This house has had so many issues since 2019( new home): Range hoods(rain comes into range hoods, waterfall on top of my stove - DESIGN FLAW!), roof leaking at same spot again and again, the leaking damaged walls and costed ants coming into my house through the cracked walls, - DESIGN FLAW + QUALITY ISSUE! , doors can NOT be closed - QUALITY ISSUE, uneven floors - QUALITY ISSUE, air conditions stop working - QUALITY ISSUE, …… The latest issue that I am dealing with is the roof leaking again. Exactly SAME place leaking about 2 years ago. I was told this is not covered by warranty. If the same problem happens again and again, doesn't it mean the house design has some flaw?Doesn't it mean the builder have the responsibilities to solve the designing issues? If the designing issues don't get solved, I, the buyer, the customer must deal with the same spot roof leaking every 2 year!! This is the service David Weekly Homes provides!!! Also, the door that can NOT be closed never get fixed! The spare restroom upstairs has never been used, the restroom door was always left open, last year one day, I tried to close it, the door was not able to be closed, of course, I was told it is NOT covered by warranty. I understand the time passed warranty, but I don't understand, in a fairly new house, a new door never been used can not be closed. This is the real David Weekly Homes quality!!! I sincerely hope this review can help people who are looking for new home!

I was the only one in my circle of friends and colleagues that had a positive (not to mention, glowing) experience with my homebuilder. The team at David Weekley made us feel valued, informed, and special and by the end of the process, they felt like they were our friends. David Weekley really cares that you love the home they build for you. Our home is beautiful and all we want to do is host our friends and family in it! Thank you David Weekley for building us the home of our dreams.

They contracted with us to build a home and only after we paid a ton of money they realized that they weren't actually able to build the home. Agreed to refund our earnest money and it has been almost a month and they are still holding on to our money. Negligent and predatory.
