I’ve had a generally positive experience working with Zen Educate. They offer a good range of job opportunities across both nursery and primary schools, and they seem to be growing, with new schools added each year. The daily pay is competitive, and there’s usually a good amount of work available. The consultants are also friendly and helpful, which makes the process smoother. That said, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. One of the biggest issues is the commission they take, the more you earn, the more they seem to deduct, which can be frustrating. Also, if you have more than three absences, you can be removed from daily supply work without warning. No one really tells you, but you are allowed to reapply later. Another issue is last-minute cancellations. Sometimes you’re booked into a role, but it gets cancelled on the day, which can be a waste of time and money, especially if you’ve already traveled. Overall, Zen Educate is a useful agency if you’re looking for regular supply work and flexibility, but just be aware of a few of the pitfalls.

Zen have been able to give me the most rewarding year of a career I’ve ever had. Their quality support, school placements and culture have left me extremely impressed. I can’t thank Beau enough in particular for being so understanding and communicative through any issues I’ve had. Top quality spot for anyone interested in flexible teaching.

Onboarding to join was easy & swift. The quality of the schools are good. Upon arrival for a role, the schools is always well informed.
