Reviews Summary

The overall sentiment expressed in customer reviews for Club Wyndham’s timeshare service is overwhelmingly negative. Reviewers consistently note aggressive sales tactics, coercion, and lack of transparency as primary issues during the signup process. Numerous accounts describe hidden fees, contractual confusion, and extremely restrictive cancellation processes, leading to frustration and financial harm. Only one review describes a successful contract rescission, while the remaining accounts reflect significant dissatisfaction.

The most common themes involve persistent complaints about customer service, cancellation refusal, ongoing billing despite requests to terminate contracts, and unresolved disputes often leading to collections and credit damage. Customers also highlight a lack of responsiveness, misleading presentations, undisclosed policies, and operational failures at various resort locations. Several reviews mention attempts to resolve matters directly with Wyndham, but report little to no resolution, regardless of location or contact method.

Overall, Club Wyndham is regarded as a company with a problematic reputation in the timeshare industry, especially in the US states of Florida, Tennessee, and California. Recurring negative experiences regarding sales practices, cancellation policies, and customer service lead to widespread distrust. Trust signals such as transparent communication and smooth issue resolution are notably absent from customer accounts.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! If you are considering purchasing a timeshare with Club Wyndham, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience was beyond disappointing, and I want to highlight the major red flags that you should be aware of: 1. Coercive and Aggressive Sales Tactics From the start, the sales process felt like a trap. What was supposed to be a short, informative presentation turned into nearly five hours of relentless pressure. Every time we hesitated, they brought in a new person to push harder. When we finally reached the contract signing, the salesperson actually told us that asking questions would only delay us from leaving. This was clearly a coercive and forced sales tactic, making us feel like we had no choice but to sign just to escape. 2. Lack of Transparency in the Contract Important details were either omitted or vaguely explained, leaving us with hidden fees and unfavorable terms that only became apparent later. They deliberately rushed us through the process, making it impossible to fully understand what we were committing to. 3. Impossible to Cancel Once you sign, there’s no way out. Even if you face financial hardship or simply regret your decision, Wyndham refuses to cancel your contract. Despite consumer protection laws, they lock you in and continue charging until the full contract amount is paid off—even if you stop using the service. 4. Unfair and Excessive Charges Even after we expressed our desire to cancel, the charges kept coming. They will aggressively pursue payments, offering no flexibility or understanding. 5. Terrible Customer Support Once they have your signature, they no longer care about you. Customer service is nonexistent, and any attempt to get help results in automated responses or being ignored altogether. Final Verdict: A Nightmare Experience Club Wyndham is a predatory business that preys on tourists through manipulation, deception, and legal loopholes. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Stay far, far away!

We are disappointed with Club Wyndham and their lack of honesty with customers who are spending their hard-earned money, all while making their company rich. For this reason, we are requesting the cancellation of our timeshare contract and release from any associated financial obligations. We believe this request is justified given the deceptive sales practices, lack of disclosure, and the undue pressure placed on our family over the course of multiple interactions. The misleading sales tactics and hidden fees, with several key aspects that were not disclosed to us at any point. These include the 4% annual increase in maintenance fees, the reality that presentations are not actually mandatory. After years of financial strain from the timeshare mortgage, credit line and maintenance fees. They conducted a credit check on both my husband and me and opened a Barclays credit card in my name without my knowledge or consent, which I only discovered when the card arrived weeks later. During this time, we had been persuaded to upgrade our contract under unclear and deceptive terms. We had been drinking during our vacation and should not have been pressured into another high-pressure sale under these conditions.

[Update – June 13, 2025] I’m updating my original review because I’m unable to submit a new one, but what has happened in the past 48 hours must be reported. Wyndham responded publicly to both my review and my wife’s exactly two days ago. Coincidentally — or not — today, June 13, 2025, my wife’s credit score dropped by over 130 points on both TransUnion and Equifax, despite our legitimate and well-documented request for contract cancellation. This is abusive behavior. Responding politely in public while silently taking aggressive actions behind the scenes — actions that destroy a family’s credit — is deeply unethical. We have two young daughters, one undergoing neurological treatment for epilepsy and the other with severe food allergies who requires stable housing and ongoing medical care. We personally went to the Wyndham Destinations office in Orlando, where we were told that nothing could be resolved locally. We were informed that we’d need to take the matter to Los Angeles. Shortly after, a representative who spoke our language contacted us, only to say that “nothing could be done.” No empathy. No alternatives. No resolution. Once again, we ask that Wyndham formally recognize our cancellation request, stop all collection efforts, and immediately remove the negative credit reporting that is seriously impacting our family’s ability to secure new housing and live with dignity. All documentation, including letters, emails, USPS tracking confirmations, screenshots, and proof of failed vacation booking attempts, have been filed in our official complaints with both the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This is not buyer’s remorse. This is contractual abuse, systemic neglect, and financial harm.
