Reviews Summary

Overall sentiment toward Webb Lawnmowers is predominantly negative, with many reviewers expressing frustration about product reliability, customer support, and the company’s approach to issue resolution. Notable exceptions are the praise for individual retailer staff, such as at Mole Valley; however, direct dealings with Webb’s service center and customer service frequently lead to dissatisfaction. Criticisms focus on inadequate responses to problems, unclear assembly instructions, and unhelpful communication.

Common patterns include mentions of poor build quality, mechanical failures, misleading product specifications, and challenges navigating the warranty process. Several customers cite issues arising soon after purchase—ranging from engine faults to faulty components and design inconveniences for older users. Service response is a recurring concern, with reports of slow replies, blame-shifting, or minimal resolution beyond offering refunds. Only isolated accounts mention friendly or helpful interactions, mostly via third-party suppliers.

Based on customer reviews, Webb Lawnmowers struggles to build a reliable reputation in the garden machinery sector, particularly across the UK. Recurring complaints about product longevity and customer service weaken trust in the brand and raise concerns about long-term ownership. Overall, Webb Lawnmowers is regarded warily by buyers seeking dependable support and durable equipment.

Firstly, I must say that I am waiting for a definitive response from the retailer (Mole Valley, Stamford) who sold me this Webb 51cm self propelled mower. Mole Valley have been superb, especially Gerald and Kayleigh. They have been empathetic, supportive and proactive in trying to get Webb to rectify my issues. I was really happy with the mower that I purchased last year. I am, by nature, careful with maintenance and in March I fitted a new blade only because Webb advise against trying to sharpen the blades. After fitting the new blade with the aide of the manual and YouTube videos. I mowed my grass probably 5 or 6 times with the usual fantastic cut. Just before finishing the last cut I stopped to empty the box and when I went to complete that mow the cord pull made a grating noise. I then noticed the two of the engine mounting bolts had sheared. I went to a local mower guy who confirmed that the cord pull noise was because of the engine mounting bolts shearing. I then went to Mole Valley who agreed to liaise with Webb on my behalf. This morning, I received a call from Kayleigh telling me that Webb’s service centre had told them that the engine mounting bolts had sheared because I had fitted the blade the wrong way. Not only is this an insult to my intelligence, I wouldn’t have been able to mow my grass with great results I had been used to with this machine. In summary, great mower until it goes wrong. The warranty is not valid or viable as echoed by other reviewers.

I ordered a new WEH12R from these cowboys after it was recommended to me, the first unit arrived with paint missing and with concerns about future rusting I contacted them to arrange a replacement. Following some snotty communication they agreed, only for the replacement to have similar damage. Rather than try to correct the issue they are telling me I need to return for a refund, that’s it’s not faulty it’s simply ‘not to my standard’. Whilst the price may be significantly less would you accept a brand new car with paint damage?! I would never recommend anyone waste their time with these jokers, whilst the products may or may not be any good the customer service is the worst I’ve experience in a long time.

Bought an electric Webb mower. Poor quality components, flimsy plastic, clamps for the handle cracked after 3 months, customer services don't want to know and won't replace components. Wish I'd got a Bosch!
