Even though the place was packed due to the holidays, the staff were extremely helpful and supportive. I brought in a bunch of stuff to exchange and return and I was super stressed out, but Luis M and Diego G were so amazing. They answered all my questions and helped me process everything very fast, and I am super grateful to them for their professionalism. Thank you Luis and Diego, and wishing all the staff happy holidays!

Uniqlo has always been one of my favorite brands — great clothing, great prices. But today, I had a really disappointing experience at the Hudson Yards location. I stopped by just to quickly pick up two t-shirts. It was my first time visiting this particular store. When I approached the cashier, the staff member mumbled something I couldn’t understand — twice. I wasn’t sure if he was asking me about my payment method or where to go. Eventually, he just motioned with his hand for me to go to the self-checkout. At the self-checkout, I realized I didn’t really know how to use the machine and asked someone for help. The same staff member came over, visibly annoyed, and scanned the items for me without saying a word. The whole time he gave off the impression that helping me was a huge burden, like he hated being there and couldn’t care less about the customer experience. It was such a small, simple interaction — and yet it was handled with such coldness and negativity. It really made me question how customers are being treated. I came in to spend money, and instead, I felt like I was doing something wrong just by being there. The clothes are great — but the service today was honestly terrible.

Popular high quality Japanese Clothing Retailer here in the US. Great quality clothes at decent prices. Bought several 100% cotton items and none of them shrank significantly. Very good fit. Would 100% buy more in future. And for those familiar with the brand from Japan just know the sizes here are American not Japanese so they will fit differently than their Japanese versions.

Reviews Summary

Overall, customer sentiment toward Uniqlo Hudson Yards is positive, with reviewers frequently mentioning the quality and affordability of clothing. The store’s staff, particularly individuals such as Luis M and Diego G, receive specific recognition for their professionalism during busy periods. Criticism centers primarily on inconsistent customer service, with at least one account of cold or unhelpful staff behavior and occasional issues at checkout.

Recurring themes include praise for product quality, location convenience, and store cleanliness. Shoppers highlight the broad but not exhaustive product selection and technological features such as self-checkout. While self-pay counters and staff assistance are appreciated, there are mentions of room for improvement regarding fitting room capacity and the warmth of customer service. Logistical challenges, like anti-theft tags remaining on purchases and out-of-stock items, also occasionally arise.

In summary, Uniqlo Hudson Yards is regarded as a reliable clothing retailer in New York City, recognized for its high-quality apparel, efficiency, and convenience. Repeat customers and positive interactions reinforce its reputation, although some experiences indicate variability in service and highlight opportunities for improved customer engagement.
