I am very disappointed with Tiger Lily Landscape. We signed a contract with Tiger Lily for our backyard and front yard landscaping. Backyard is done as contract indicated and we paid in full. Just to give you an idea, We had 8 of the 12 ft Carpinus betulus "Fastigiata" and 7 of the Hydrangea "Abetwo"(3g) planted to our backyard by Tiger Lily. We paid $8,163.90. We paid in full since it was done properly as our signed contract indicated. We wanted 24" boxwoods planted for our front yard and we signed a contract indicating the size. Size of the boxwoods they planted ranged 12-20'' maximum. They planted a total of 20 boxwoods which none of those were 24'' as indicated in the contact. The reason we wanted 24'' was due to our tall fence and it being a slow growing plant. We kindly asked Sareena who is the owner of Tiger Lily to replace them with the right size boxwood. She sent a message with this exact wording" The Boxwoods are the largest we could find. We were told that they were as close to 24", which means from the beginning she knew they were not the right size. She offered to take them back. I found the right size boxwoods and I am not a landscaper. My husband kindly asked her when they remove the wrong size plants if they can they plant the right size plants? She said they can but we have to pay extra. We were nice enough to take the task and correct her mistake. Instead of to thank us, she asked more money for labor. We refused to pay extra. Then we offered to pay less for the smaller plants already planted if she honored the same price we found for bigger plants we wanted as contract indicated. They were 24''-30'' tall for a lot less. She said No again. We could not come to an agreement although my husband and I tried very hard. She asked 3,337.53 for just the front yard clean up, soil amendments, and metal edging (after she removed the plants). I offered to pay labor for the work done and replace everything she used if she gave me a list.She said No again. Then I asked her please give me the breakdown of $3,337.50 we are paying for our empty yard. She did not do that either. She said it is in our contract.Then we received this message from her that said, " Given the aforementioned photographic documentation of the work performed, please contact me within 72 hours to pick up a cashier's check. Should I not hear back from you/or should you choose not to accept the modified amount, Tiger Lily landscapes reserves the right to bill you work done this week (pictures below) outside of the scope of the original contract, and engage legal and or collection services if necessary", even if we have all the evidence to prove she did not provide us the right size plants she indicated on the contract. My husband and I did not want to deal with this nonsense. We already had enough frustration, disappointment and stress. We paid what she requested in the end, because sometimes the money isn't worth the headache of dealing with people who don't understand the work that they do.
